Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5224 is to be contained in a medium-sized containment in Sector ██. It is to be remained closed with at least two guards of Level 3 clearance stationed at the entrance of its area. During daylight hours, Personnel of Level 3 clearance or above must require skills of sufficient animal handling when attending or interacting with SCP-5224. SCP-5224 must be carefully watched at all times by Staff when entering the containment and must follow SCP procedures, aggressive behaviour from SCP-5224 is rarely present, however will react to aggressive or inappropriate behaviour from Personnel or Staff.
SCP-5224 is currently being held at Site-██ for further testing to conclude any other anomalies present. Locks on SCP-5224’s pen must be securely locked and any tampering by unauthorized Personnel or Staff will be punished. A camera is placed inside its containment area to record any anomalous behaviours.
Description:
SCP-5224 is an unknown dog breed aardwolf hyena with vertical black stripes and a bushy black-tipped tail. Standing less than half a metre high at the shoulder, it varies in length from 55 to 80 cm exclusive of the 20 to 30cm tail. Its diet within containment consists of termites, larvae and other various insects, a small water bowl is to be filled up twice every day. Its behaviour is normal that of a standard dog breed, displaying playful behaviour when being encountered with Staff, however displays anomalous properties which includes walking through walls of most materials and the inability to age.
Attempting to touch or provide physical contact to SCP-5224 has been unsuccessful as it shows hostile actions when being approached. However, SCP-5224 shows no transparency to its body or fur within its environment. SCP-5224 had breached containment several times, and has been seen around the site, effort to contain SCP-5224 has been unsuccessful it can be contained by luring it with a small spoonful of honey, showing passive behaviour when fed the honey. SCP-5224 is only ever seen to leave its area minutes after circling around its containment area, it is required to take a spoonful of honey if this action occurs.
Materials SCP-5224 is shown to walk through is; Metal, wood, stone, cement, and other solid materials, only leaving behind a sticky, clear residue behind.
Addendum:
The substance itself has acidic properties, only the injury appearing after an hour after contact with the substance. This was concluded in incident-5224-1 when Dr. ██████ came across the substance after SCP-5224 breached containment. The acidic property had [DATA EXPUNGED] after an hour of exposure.
Addendum:
Occasionally SCP-5224’s mane stands when present with D-class, however shows cautious behaviour when presented to D-class Personnel.
