Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 6 meter by 6 meter cell, with a height of 6 meters. The containment cell is to be made of 20 cm steel plating. Internal floodlights are to be fixed to the center of each panel. These lights are to be active at all times. SCP-XXXX's containment is to equipped with a reserve generator. In the event of a site wide power failure, this generator is to be active and provide power to the containment cell for 5 hours. In the event that power isn't restored to the site in this time frame, SCP-XXXX's containment is to be evacuated of all surrounding personal and 15" steel blast doors are to be sealed. When re-containing SCP-XXXX, no less than 8 armed foundation personal equipped automatic rifles with mounted flashlights.

Containment Procedures For Transportation: SCP-XXXX is to be transported in a V-22 Osprey outfitted with four high power floodlights attached on the inside of the vehicle. Because of this all personal inside of SCP-XXXX's transport are to wear issued goggles for dimming incoming light as to avoid eye damage. During transport, SCP-XXXX is to be accompanied at minimum of 6 armed personal. SCP-XXXX is to be restrained with 150 kilogram weights strapped to both it's ankles and wrists as well as a 200 kilo weight strapped attached to its mid-section. All guards are to have barrel mounted flashlights attached to each firearm. When transporting SCP-XXXX, 2 additional V-22 Ospreys are to accompany and provide escort. Both are to be equipped with forward and rear floodlights.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid figure measuring approximately 2 meters tall. They have the build of an average human male. They are solid black, with any light being unable to pass through them. They posses the ability to enter shadows and travel between nearby ones. Though to enter shadows SCP-XXXX must come into physical contact with them, so the use of floodlights in cutting off SCP-XXXX from these shadows has proved incredibly useful. While SCP-XXXX can be damaged these injures aren't permanent. Depending on the severity it seems to take SCP-XXXX between 15 minutes to 72 hours to fully heal. This does not mean SCP-XXXX is unable to be stopped. Sufficient damaging and debilitating injuries will be able to stop it in it's path, though it will take considerably more firepower. The use of high power automatic weapons and explosive munitions have proved effective in stopping SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX appears to hold some form of hatred towards humanity as a whole and will attempt to kill any human it can. A concerning fact about SCP-XXXX is that while it will kill any human that it can it appears to posses some form of higher brain function and can identify and eliminate anything it identifies as priority targets or higher threat. These often include personal carrying high power firearms. This ability has also been displayed during engagements with SCP-XXXX. During combat SCP-XXXX will target personal which pose the largest threat to it at the time, often targeting machine gunners, air support, higher commanding officers, and explosive or pyrotechnic experts. One constant seems to override any other target and take priority. This would seem to be high voltage lights such as floodlights.

SCP-XXXX appears to display sadistic behaviors when killing or hunting prey. SCP-XXXX will toy with it's prey similarly to a cat playing with mice. When SCP-XXXX finds prey it will catch and wound its prey with a debilitating injury. It will then release the wounded individual and will give it a head start. This head start has ranged from 1 minute to 5 minutes. During this period SCP-XXXX has been observed tapping the ground or walls as a way to keep time. While counting SCP-XXXX has been heard speaking, forming word's sound vaguely like "Tick Tock". After this SCP-XXXX will run off and begin hunting down its prey. SCP-XXXX has also been recorded vaguely speaking in some instances, though these are usually limited to "Kill" and fits of laughing. These usually correspond with on site containment breaches of one or more violent entities.

SCP-XXXX was discovered in Mount ███████, Washington. Foundation personal were dispatched after multiple reports of missing hikers were filed. Reports of a shadowy figure were also reported in the same areas as the missing hikers. Mobile Task Force Sigma-17 A.K.A. "The Phantoms" was deployed to the area with the mission of locating and capturing any potential anomalous entity in the area.

Dr : Before we start could you please describe the make up of Mobile Task Force Sigma-17?

CDR : Sure, our squad was made up of 54 personal and 3 V-22 Ospreys. Ospreys 1 and 2 would act as troop transports for the squad, while Osprey-3 would provide air support and give us a birds eye view. Each one was mounted with a GAU-19 heavy machine gun. We had two machine gunner groups. The rest of us were armed with stranded issue rifles.

Dr : And what were you responding to that day?

CDR : We got reports of something up in the mountains as well a reports of a few missing hikers. We were surveying the area seeing if we could spot anything from above. We saw something orange in a clearing in the woods by a cliff. It was too small for us to set down there so we decided to land at a larger opening nearby. We thought it would be a easy bag and tag mission.

Dr : What happened after you made your way to the clearing?

CDR : We made our way in the clearing and discovered the orange was a hiker. He was messed up. I mean deep wounds. It looked like a bear attacked him, only this bear had 2 inch claws. Then Osprey-3 reported they saw something on thermal imaging in the trees. Or rather a lack of something.

Dr : A lack of something? What do you mean?

CDR : They said they picked up the body of a person on thermal but it wasn't warm. It was colder than everything else. It appeared black on the screens. So we sent a few of our guys over to check it out. They said nothing was there, then they started screaming and firing at something in the trees.

The following is are notes from an experiment including SCP-XXXX and SCP-1188

Event: Experiment containing SCP-1188 and SCP-XXXX

D Class personal D-████ was introduced to SCP-XXXX while equipped with SCP-1188. D-████ turned on SCP-1188 and pointed at SCP-XXXX's mid-section. SCP-XXXX became slightly translucent, but not cut through entirely. SCP-XXXX also became noticeably in pain during this process. SCP-XXXX then jumped at D-████. SCP-XXXX proceeded to violently tear D-████ apart. D-████ was pronounced as dead at the scene.

Afterwards SCP-XXXX's midsection remained translucent for approximately 4 hours until it had fully regenerated. SCP-1188 should be considered for possible use in counteracting containment breaches of SCP-XXXX. While this prospect is promising contact between the two appears to cause an increase in SCP-XXXX's level of destruction should SCP-1188 fail in stopping SCP-XXXX.

Due to these circumstances, experiment that contain both SCP-1188 and SCP-XXXX should be approved by both acting site directors or a member of the 05 council.
