Item #: SCP-4902
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Anamoly is able to be contained in two ways, each being difficult.
The first way to contain the Anamoly is by entirely blocking the path to the alley way, which proves difficult with the many teenager rebels who find ways to enter the alley way. Therefore, the foundation has placed a series of MTFS protecting the Anamoly, making sure no one is able to enter the alley way.
The second way of containing the Anamoly, is by distracting everyone who enters the alley way with weird, funny, and extraordinary signs. Insuring that they do not think about their dead, loved ones.
Description: The Anamoly appears as an ordinary alley way, first located in ████, Brazil. By entering the alley way, without thinking of a deceased loved person, nothing will happen. But if the alley way is entered by a person who is currently thinking of a dceased loved person, and has a deep urge to speak with them, it will result in the appearance of that loved person. The living and the dead can see, hear, and speak to each other. But they cannot touch each other. The urge seems to be one sided, requiring only the living person to think about the deceased.
It is unknown if the "ghost" is real, or an illusion produced by the alley way itself. Further testing indicates that it is actually the same person, as it seems to remember things only the real dead person would know.
How the ghost enters the living world is unexplained. But some suggest the alley way *could* be a passage between the living world and the dead world.
But with further testing, it is shown that the dead cannot remember, how, when, and why they died. they know they died, but have no memory of anything related to their death. When the deceased is asked of what happens after death, the dceased admits that it does not remember, either. Which indicates that when they appear in the alley way, the dead has its memory of anything related to their death erased, leaving only the memories of when they are alive.
