SCP-6077
The Undying Fossil
Object Class: Keter
Pre Order 839 Containment Procedures: SCP-6077 is a difficult creature to contain, as its biology is neither plant nor animal, yet it has the make up both as well as other classes of lifeforms distinguished by Earth's history. After the Incident now codenamed "Red Dawn", which has resulted in the complete destruction of its physical form, agents were (under permission from the upper command) to comply with SCP-6077's demands. In exchange, SCP-6077 will come quietly and will be contained in eco-chamber designed around its preferences. Once these conditions were met, the SCP has regenerated and halted in further biological development to its physical form. Becoming stable and has been designated as safe for the time being.
Furthermore it has been discovered that SCP-6077 has a calming effect on SCPs. With permission from the ███████ branch, SCP-6077 is to be conducted in various tests approved by the 05 Council for the possibility of being classed as a Thaumiel SCP.
Containment Procedures: Following Incident codenamed "Red Dawn" and Breach ███████████; Special Order 839 has been put forward by Alison Chao, and approved by the 05 Council:
SCP-6077 is to be terminated immediately. However, due to the state of invulnerability it can obtain when its physical form is obliterated, SCP-6077 containment is dedicated to keeping it in a perpetual state of stage 2 regeneration. The current method is to have it frozen by liquid nitrogen with rods intertwined throughout its skeletal system, which is hooked to an independent generator to continually deliver 100,000 volts to its rapidly regenerating nervous system. To avoid overheating, voltage to SPC-6077 is to be deliver three times a day with a spacing of eight hours starting in the morning to the afternoon, restarting accordingly with the following day.
At this time, all attempts at termination of SCP-6077, are being personally carried out by Alison Chao.
Due to its recent discover, difficulty of containment, Foundation Exposure, and being stated as █████████████████, SCP-6077 is to be brought from site ████████ and placed on site ████████. The Foundation as designated by the Administrator, is to use its resources to uncover a long-term method of containment until termination of SCP-6077 can be achieved.
Important Note: A superseding order is pending from Dr. Ruslav Diaghilev to keep SCP-6077 as a special Class A and B subject only.
Should this be approved, all personnel bellow Class B are strictly forbidden, moreover anyone within these Classes are forbidden to speak to, or communicate in any way with SCP-6077, unless approved by The 05 Council. General research of SCP-6077 will be carried out exclusively by Dr. Diaghilev, Researcher Jacob Conwell, and Dr. Kain Crow. Furthermore, Only under permission of Class A personnel, can any efforts regarding the observation and/or experimentation of SCP-6077 can be conducted. Violators of this agreement will have their rank terminated and punished as seen fit by any information that was obtained and/or given by SCP-6077.
Description: SCP-6077 is a large, unknown creature that possess the traits of many extinct and non-extinct animals that have existed on planet earth. Analysis of SCP-6077 indicates that the creature came into existence during the Archean Eon, and has been evolving ever since.
Standing at a vertical hight at around 7.7 ft, the body has a heresies kisses shape to it and it is supported by four pincer-like appendages, should these appendages be injured or destroyed SCP-6077 has a second method of transportation underneath in the form of countless stub feet similar to a velvet worm. SCP-6077’s upper body has two arms and hands that are parallel to it legs, these arm like appendages are similar to ants and end with webbed hands with each wrist armed with a deadly calcaneus spur. The most striking feature of SCP-6077 is its monstrous looking head, which is composed of at least six known species of animal. Most notably the head has two frontal appendages similar to Anomalocaris. The front and sides of SCP-6077’s head is that of a trilobite’s cephalon while its back is structured similarly to, and has the eyes of, a platypus. Finally the creature's head is peppered with Neolecta fungi, and the face in particular possesses an assortment of whisker-like objects that were thought to be similar to a mole, but were recently reclassified as an advanced form of hydra-like tentacles.
The surface body of SCP-6077 is as unique as well, as most of its body starting from the ‘waist’ up is coated in live ginkgo leaves and between these leaves are horsetails, and beneath this layer of plant-life is a non-cellular outer skin. On the exposed parts of its upper ‘thighs’ and arms is a dense covering of waterproof fur that is similar to a platypus. Finally, Covering the broad sides of SCP-6077’s chest and neck is segmented armor plating made up by a chitinous-like material that is reminiscent of ancient trilobites. Despite being bilateral, SCP-6077 is capable of full 360 degree awareness, meaning it can perceive and fight on all sides without having to turn. When engaging in combat, SCP-6077 eyes will shift from black to white, becoming blind and using its other senses as a means of attack and defense.
The is reason to believe that SCP-6077's documented design is only the first of a long process of physical change, as its appearance was said to be different during the "Red Dawn" incident, in which it was vaguely said to have looked like a 15 ft long worm walking on legs with sharp spikes on its back. However, due to this being the last surviving agent's testimony before eventually succumbing to her injuries, as well as the inherent risk of allowing an SCP to grow in size and power is completely unacceptable. As such any future intents to experiment with this is strictly forbidden.
After the complete destruction of SCP-6077 physical form during the "Red Dawn" Incident, a purple and yellow ‘light’ appeared, and for an extended period of time, SCP-6077 was completely invulnerable by any means of harm or capture. As such for a waiting period of █████████████████, SCP-6077 began to regenerate, and it was through this period that the personnel involved with its capture were able to contain the living fossil in a temporary containment.
Addendum: The “light” of SCP-6077 will move until it reaches a point in which it is comfortable to regenerate, and during this stage the “light” is completely invulnerable to any method of attack. Once it believes to be in a position to regenerate, SCP-6077 regeneration begins fast and steady begins to slow down with each succeeding stage. After several tests, the stages of SCP-6077 are as follows:
SCP-6077 Phase 1: Regeneration
Stage 1 (Regeneration 5x)
Skeleton and Organs, which are then surrounded by a protective coating that is similar to wood
Stage 2 (Regeneration 4x)
Nerve and extensive muscles, which is then surrounded by a protective coating of Graphene
Stage 3 (Regeneration 3x)
Special fatty layer of tissue followed by a Diamond Exoskeleton
Stage 4 (Regeneration 2x)
Outer muscle and dermal layer
Stage 5 (Regeneration 1x)
Skin and other outer coverings of various organic material (from leaves to fungi to fur)
It is important to note that during all five stages, SCP-6077 is completely blind in all forms of sense, making this stage the easiest means of recapture should a breach happen.
The state of its ability to adapt as well as its regenerative abilities, are primitive when compared to that of SCP-682 or other SCPs of a similar nature. Moreover the state of its evolutionary course corresponds to particular species of animals that have either gone extinct or successfully lived into the modern era, all of which have existed on earth. However, what SCP-6077 lacks in regeneration, it makes up for it with a very complex body plan that is centered around defense and abilities that provide it with a strong offense. Thus far it is unknown to what extent the deemed offensive capabilities of SCP-6077 are. For what follows are two stages that were achieved after it completed its regeneration phase:
SCP-6077 Phase 2: Sensory and Offensive Abilities
Stage 6
Sensory based:
An instant ability to have Electrolocation and Pressure Sense
1) Has a sense of Smell that is greater than a black bear's (After 1 Minute)
2) Has a sense of Hearing greater than a moth's Touch (After 2 Minutes)
3) Has a sense of Sight greater than an eagle's (After 3 Minutes)
Stage 7
From its calcaneus spurs, SCP-6077 can inject a venom 1,000x more powerful than an inland taipan leading to the speculation that this particular ability and any further ones were done so as a means of combating creature of either a similar nature, or God forbid, more dangerous.
Interestingly, SCP-6077 has a reputation for being mostly reasonable with other SCPs, which was why through many initial experiments were conducted to see if SCP-6077 can be used to contain, or neutralize altogether other SCPs. However, it was discovered that its reasonableness is merely a means of escape through “perceived” partnership. Moreover, it appears that SCP-6077 is purely altruistic when it comes to engaging with other SPCs, and shows not alternatives motives when partnered with them. At this time the known SCPs that SCP-6077 was exposed to and resulted in a negative outcome are SCP-087, SCP-173, and SCP-1471.
One notable incident regarding the exact nature of, and how SCP-6077 engages with other SPCs was discovered during transportation of and in concurrence with breach {redacted}. After fleeing from its temporary containment unit, SCP-6077 briefly encountered SCP-682 in which through {redacted} had conversed in a manner that did not indicate hostility. However, in an unusual set of circumstances, SCP-6077 defended a Class D personnel from being devoured by SPC-682 when he had accidentally stumble upon the two SCPs. For further information regarding this incident, request permission by Class A personnel.
It is currently unknown when SCP-6077 was able to engage in complex communication, and there are some indication that it has deep understanding of the SPC Foundation, although no information was exposed to it by any personnel that we are aware of. The extent of SCP-6077's knowledge of the foundation is under continued investigation.

Time Log; Australia Day Mon, Jan 27, 2020 - 2:14 am
SCP-6077 Containment Electrocution has been halted and SCP has been allowed to fully regenerate, Alison Chao enters the containment area
SCP-6077: Why did you kill all those people?
Alison Chao: A necessary precaution after you told them {Redacted}
SCP-6077 a grumbling sound can be heard Had I known that, my means of telling them to save themselves would have been more subtle
Alison Chao It would not have mattered, either way your exposure was to high to trust any personnel. Now then, how about you tell me how you know about {Redacted}
SCP-6077 I have been aware of {redacted} since its founding, as am I aware of the SCP-Foundation with which you are enslaved too.
Alison Chao Chuckles
SCP-6077 What is so amusing?
Alison Chao You are. To think that you speak in a manner of pity by perceiving that I am a slave to this necessary Foundation is such a half hearted attempt of wooing me it is pathetic! I've listened to far more craftier persuasions from other SCPs.
SCP-6077 I am not an SCP, I am █████████, and my words are not pity they are as cold stone fact as the people you are enslaved to
Alison Chao Gives an exasperated sigh Answer my question SCP-6077
SCP-6077 My name is not SCP, my name is █████████, nor will I answer your questions {redacted} Turns head away in dismissal
Alison Chao Very well then, we will now do this my way…
Foreword: Alison Chao ruthlessly presses and uses various methods of torture on SCP-6077 for information, but the SCP-6077 fervently refuses to cave into her demands

Alison Chao Your endurance is commendable, but the longer you drag this out the harder it will be…
SCP-6077 Under Stage 3 Regeneration, but is visibly shaken from the experience YOU FAIR FOUL FIEND! MY WILL IS THE VERY WILL OF █████████████████, ████████████
Alison Chao ████████████ I have not been called that name for a very long time, Alison Chao stands up to leave it is quite clear to me that you are too dangerous to be left alive, and as such you will be moved to {redacted} and once my order goes through, I will personally see to it that you are terminated from the very fabric of existence.
SCP-6077 Do not be so formal around me ████████████, from the moment you entered here, I sensed the malevolent intent within you.
Alison Chao: Is visibly shaken with anger Do not call me by that name again, or else the next method of containment will have you begging me for death sooner rather than later. Proceeds to move towards the exit
SCP-6077: ████████████
Following Details Alison Chao wipes around, but before she can say anything SCP-6077 has fully regenerated and lunges at her breaking its restrains

SCP-6077 I take it you stand amongst the 05 Command?
████████████ No, I am neither here nor there in this Hierarchy, just as it has always been, but now things are changing again.
SCP-6077 Is that so?
████████████ You have been found, seized, and contained by the third most powerful organization across the many {redacted}. Do not be so modest about the ripple effect you have caused to this organization.
████████████ There comes a beeping sound, as the mysterious figure checks what appears to be a watch on his right wrist hmm, I am running out of time, so let us make this quick and easy. Analysis: This recording is of such preposterous nature that had it not been, so adequately recorded and then confirmed by SCP-6077 then this would have been assumed as a very elaborate hoax from within the Foundation. As such a full investigation into the perpetrator of this interview is in full swing, any further information must be brought forward to the 05 Command immediately
