Purged Valentine

Basically this is a draft of my SCP. I posted it here after reading some Greek Myth.

Item Number: SCP-XXXXa

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: The anomaly is currently secured in distinct and specifically-designed holding cell located at Site-██-█. The holding cell is spherical in shape, with a diameter about 4 meters wide. Its 25 inch-thick walls are made of cobalt, which is infused with traces of silver and bronze and charged up to 13000 Volts, for the reason that cobalt's hard and lustrous characteristic mixed with the other two mentioned hard metals, were proven to nullify the anomalies' ability to phase through walls. However, pure cobalt, isolated of any of the two metals, does no effect to the anomalies' ability, even if highly charged of electricity. Because no physical contact has to be made with the anomaly, intercom was pre-installed in the holding cell, for which only authorized Foundation staff and authorities with or above Level 4 can communicate with the anomaly. No necessities such as food and water are to be provided, as the anomaly was proven to be self-sufficient. Blood, both from human and animal, are to be kept away from the anomalies' presence.

Description: The anomaly is locally known in ancient Greece and Rome as "Love Angel", "Cupid", "Eros", "Aphrodite", and "Venus". However, it is widely and generally known in the Foundation as "SCP-XXXX", appearing in all artworks and literature where love artists and philosophers try to depict Love's "real" appearance. There are only two known individual anomalies, one of which were captured and secured in ████ ██████ by a team of field agents, after it migrated to the more populated United States, in 19██, in search for more potential victims.

The anomalies appear either as a beautiful woman or a handsome man, in the perception of the onlooker/s, in order to attract their victim/s attention. They do this by excreting a substantial amount of unique pheromones that largely affects the victim/s' testosterone (if victim is male) and estrogen (if victim is female) chemical levels. This results to a complex chain reaction in which the victim is hyper-focused and lust towards the anomaly goes undeniable. The anomalies' other abilities include phasing through solid walls, persuasion through hypnotism, and shape shifting from one humanly appearance to another.

The earliest accounts of that proved the existence of the anomalies were referenced in the Greek tale of Eros, the male anomaly's local name, and Psyche, a Greek princess. In this tale, Psyche mentioned not seeing the anomaly, although she can feel its presence and talk to it personally.

"It was first deemed unreal and impossible. But after a few talks with Eros SCP-XXXXa, it seemed to still remember Psyche after all this centuries." Dr. Ian Finnickle wrote in one of his journals. "SCP-XXXXa told my team and I that that girl Psyche gave him lots of victims after the day it captured her. Most of which were human sacrifices, in hopes that those Eros SCP-XXXXa will help the Greeks find their true 'love' too. Although the only thing it did was trick the desired person to feel love temporarily to the one who sacrificed a human victim."

Greeks worshiped Eros because of the anomaly's seemingly "helpful" ability to make people fall in 'love' with whomever they desired as long as they offer a sacrifice. Ancient Greek and Roman pagans soon offered sacrificial slaves, as a tradition every feast, in order to gain the anomalies' trust and attention. However, the tradition was soon forgotten as Greeks were captured by different empires, such as Spartan and Roman Empires. The rise and fall of civilizations, as well as the change in cultures affected the anomalies' behavior. Before,it just waited for sacrifices, but soon, the disappearance of sacrifice meant they have to search for victims themselves.

Dr. ████ Finnickle is the researcher who first met the two individuals possessed by the anomalies in a mountainous region near ███████████. He is also the first person who succeeded in communicating with both anomalies, alone, while in the same place and the same time, and both anomalies were still unguarded and unsecured. However, shortly after Dr. Finnickle's 4th interview with the anomalies, he and his group of field agents were attacked by a group of armed men, all of which were under the influence of female anomaly's abilities. Dr. Finnickle, along with two agents, died during their evacuation out of the anomaly's "territory".

Their spilled blood attracted the male anomaly's attention so much, the male anomaly left his possessed body, who was identified as a man named James ██████, and appeared in its real self; a humanoid creature with russet eyes, pale white skin, dirty blonde hair, and wearing nothing. The male anomaly were starting to devour Dr. Finnickle's body when it was captured using a 1000-watt power line. The female, SCP-XXXXb, however, escaped into the forest and currently being searched by a separate team. As a result, the group of men who attacked the Foundation's field agents, were released of the anomaly's influence.

"To communicate with them, we must gain their trust." Dr. Finnickle wrote in his journal, which was retrieved from the site where he and his group was ambushed. No details were further added to detail how he have gained their trust.
"They do not lie." Says ████ ███████ , one of the field agents who witnessed and survived the ambush. "It's what he (Dr. Finnickle) told us. The anomalies never lie."
