Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a wildlife preservation facility owned by the Foundation. Unauthorized personnel are not to be given access to the preserve, and any that come within a mile radius of the preserve must be administered amnestics and sent on their way. SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-A are to be visited once per day, every day of every month of every year. Dr. ██████ is the only one allowed to be within SCP-XXXX’s enclosure, personnel or otherwise. Within the enclosure is a log cabin, with personal effects that are not to be moved in any way within the cabin.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity standing 8 feet tall, with long limbs and an underbite jaw, with small, black eyes. SCP-XXXX has claws that have proven to be able to cut through bone and human tissue without any resistance. In addition, SCP-XXXX has been shown to be able to tell exactly where SCP-XXXX-A is at all times, regardless of distance. It is also acutely aware of when SCP-XXXX-A is in any form of danger. SCP-XXXX-A is a human girl that ages at the same rate at a non-anomalous human girl and has shown no anomalous properties as of yet. SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-A were discovered when SCP-XXXX slaughtered a human while protecting SCP-XXXX-A, who at the time was only 8 years of age. SCP-XXXX-A does did not appear to fear SCP-XXXX in any way. SCP-XXXX-A was taken with SCP-XXXX, and the family of SCP-XXXX-A was administered heavy amnestics after determining that they had no anomalous properties, and given a story that SCP-XXXX-A was killed with the slaughtered human. SCP-XXXX rarely goes any faster than SCP-XXXX-A, but often watches from a distance rather than protect up close. It also acts docile, even with foundation personnel. However, when SCP-XXXX-A is put in a threatening or unsafe situation, SCP-XXXX does everything it can to ensure SCP-XXXX-A’s safety. This usually results in the death of the human/s that put SCP-XXXX-A in danger. SCP-XXXX has been anomalously producing an unidentified fluid from its eyes ever since the passing of SCP-XXXX-A. SCP-XXXX is incapable of speech.

Addendum:
The following are the three most prominent tests during SCP-XXXX-A’s lifespan.

+ Test A

Test A

Subject: D-8456 (Convicted for arson, homicide, and rape)

Procedure: D-8456 is to be led to SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber under the impression that it has successfully escaped the facility, and observe what happens as it discovers SCP-XXXX-A.

Results: As expected, D-8456 attempted to molest SCP-XXXX-A. Within seconds, SCP-XXXX came crashing through the front window and pounced on D-8456, ripping them apart within moments. SCP-XXXX-A required several weeks to recover but appeared to be more stressed about the danger they were in from D-8456, rather than the danger SCP-XXXX may have caused.

Analysis: SCP-XXXX is able to sense SCP-XXXX-A in danger from anywhere in the facility. SCP-XXXX-A is unable to understand the danger SCP-XXXX poses, but this is not believed to be an anomalous property. In addition, the request to no longer test SCP-XXXX-A in this manner has been approved.

+ Test B

Test B

Subject: D-9332 (Convicted for a double homicide)

Procedure: D-9332 is instructed to enter SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber, find SCP-XXXX-A, and thoroughly describe what they have done. SCP-XXXX-A is 17 years old at this point, and thoroughly understands what the Foundation does.

Results: SCP-XXXX-A appears nervous from the story. Hidden cameras showed SCP-XXXX peering in through the window behind the subject, but the subject does not notice and confesses their regret.

Analysis: SCP-XXXX will only intervene when there is a true danger, not only possible danger.

+ Test C

Test C

Subject: D-7324 (Convicted for murder)

Procedure: SCP-XXXX-A has been taken to a different part of the facility for a different test. SCP-XXXX has remained in the enclosure. D-7324 is given a handgun and told to kill the creature within. Snipers are prepared to take down D-7324 if they attempt to escape or seem like they will succeed in killing SCP-XXXX.

Results: SCP-XXXX is not bulletproof. It is gravely wounded, and when SCP-XXXX-A discovered this, they refused all testing until SCP-XXXX fully healed, which took a span of 3 months. Thanks to the local vegetation in the forest, this was not a hunger strike.

Analysis: SCP-XXXX will defend itself and kill in self-defense, but it is very trusting of those it doesn’t perceive as a danger to SCP-XXXX-A, which allowed D-7324 to get close enough to take many disarming shots in the first place.

Interviewed: SCP-XXXX-A

Interviewer: Dr. Richards

Foreword: After the initial containment of SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-A, the two are brought into an interview chamber after it was confirmed that SCP-XXXX was not hostile.

Dr. Richards: Hello, young lady. We’d like to ask you a few questions about the…creature that saved your life.

SCP-XXXX-A: Oh, do you mean Danny?
Dr. Richards: (Audibly silent for approximately 4 seconds) I’m sorry, have you named the creature already?

SCP-XXXX-A: Already? No, Danny’s protected me for a long time!
Dr. Richards: How long, exactly?

SCP-XXXX-A: (Subject shrugs) I’unno. He’s always been there for me. Granny says it was the same for her.
Dr. Richards: This creature protected your Grandmother?

SCP-XXXX-A: Yeah! Isn’t it cool? Granny told me that Momma was gonna be protected by her, too, but Momma got scared, so Granny made up a story to make it seem like he didn’t exist. But I’m not afraid!
Dr. Richards: I see. Can you tell me what happened before we found you?

SCP-XXXX-A: (Subject is reported to look very uncomfortable) Mr. [REDACTED] wanted to do…bad things with me. There were stories, but I wanted to think good things about him. Because I know that people might look scary, but they’re not. (Subject is reported to look at SCP-XXXX) Like Danny. But…I was wrong. He wanted to… (Subject begins to cry. SCP-XXXX is reported to have given SCP-XXXX-A a hug, to which she hugged back)

Closing Statement: SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-A are transferred to a safe site, but complications forced the foundation to place SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-A within a forest enclosure.

+ Final Interview

Foreword: SCP-XXXX-A’s final recording. Dr. ██████ and SCP-XXXX are both present, SCP-XXXX-A is in a hospital bed, and reported to be 94 years old.

SCP-XXXX-A: Oh, don’t beat yourself up, dear. And just call me A. They’re going to redact you using my real name.

Dr. ██████: I’ve been researching other SCPs. If we had some more time, I could have-

SCP-XXXX-A: Hush. My time has come. (Audible sigh) I don’t hate the foundation, you know. But I just wish I could have done something to secure a better legacy. Without me, Danny will…well…have nothing to do.
SCP-XXXX: (An audible and raspy growl, sounding like a whine)

SCP-XXXX-A: Oh, don’t cry, sweetie. You take care of yourself. I’m sure we’ll see each other again someday. (SCP-XXXX-A is reported to smile)

Closing Statement: Upon the ending of the recording, SCP-XXXX-A passed, and SCP-XXXX is reported to have begun wailing, and the unknown liquid began pouring from its eyes.

Listen, I don’t care what the ‘rumors’ are. I’m the head researcher on the project. I’ve been researching SCP-XXXX since I was a Junior researcher! And I’ve never once heard SCP-XXXX say ANYTHING during the years I’ve tested with it, much less it saying that it hates us. So no more of this ‘Monster in the Woods’ talk.
