Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-XXXX is to be kept in Zone-██, a large, densely wooded area surrounded by a metal fence. There are several checkpoints allowing entrance into the area. If SCP-XXXX is spotted near the fence or a checkpoint, all guards must focus on sedating the specimen and transporting it back to the center of the area. If any civilian casualties occur, the use of amnestics is obligatory. The strength of the amnestics is to be decided depending on the severity of the incident. Multiple cameras are to be observed and kept in working order to ensure that SCP-XXXX doesn't reach the fence. If any cameras break, a squad consisting of a D-Class, 2 guards and a technician is to be sent to the location of the camera. The use of vehicular transport is authorized if the camera is too far away. Roads leading to Zone-██ are to be blocked to keep civilians from finding the area. If any civilians enter Zone-██, lethal force will be used to remove the suspect from the perimeter.

Description:
SCP-XXXX is a lupine quadruped approximately 2 meters in length and 1.5 meters in height. It is able to create portals. These portals have not yet been observed to be used by any other entity than XXXX. The means through which it makes these portals is unknown, although a loud bark is always audible. This sound can reach approximately 110 decibels. It has been observed using this to hunt down or corner prey. Due to this, there is no way to consistently contain the specimen, although research into a permanent solution is ongoing. XXXX appears to emit smoke. According to personnel, the smoke is scentless.
It also seems to be able to create dense fog with howling. It hunts mainly animals, but it will also hunt down any human if any are in its proximity. Due to this, the repair of cameras is dangerous. Observation revealed that it eats prey it kills, which confirms that it needs nutrition. Wild animals are to be put into the Site, should the wild life become sparse. It is able to replicate through unknown means. The symptom to recognize this are nightmares of XXXX and the sense of being watched. Personnel is required to report to higher-ups if they experience this.

Incident XXXX-03:

Cam-13 & Cam-14 have been damaged severely by SCP-XXXX. An immediate replacement was needed. Zulu-5, consisting of 2 guards armed with firearms and sedatives, 1 technician and 1 D-Class, have been sent to the location per jeep. During their walk to the broken cameras, they were attacked by XXXX, who killed the D-Class, the technician, and 1 of the 2 guards. The remaining guard named Jack ██████ was wounded but managed to return to Checkpoint-07.

Following Incident XXXX-03:

Personnel is advised to wait a minimum of 1-2 days before sending a repair team. If the malfunctioning camera is located near the fence, the repair team is to be sent earlier. XXXX also appears to be targeting cameras more frequently following Incident XXXX-03. Swapping locations of cameras may be needed.

Dr. Cole: As a reminder, this is being recorded. So, what happened during Incident XXXX-03?
Jack: As you know we were attacked by XXXX. (pause) It was horrifying. As we approached the location of Cam-13, we heard a howl. The damn thing was waiting for us. It became extremely foggy directly after that. I saw it jump through the trees, after which it opened a portal behind us and jumped the D-Class and killed him. Toby and I shot it with sedatives, but it already reached Melissa. I told Toby that we need to split up. I ran as fast as I could into the direction of the jeep. While I was running, I heard a scream in the distance. I ran even faster, but XXXX caught up to me shortly. It jumped on me and was ripping apart my leg. I took one of my sedatives and injected it into its head. This worked out well and it fell unconscious. I stumbled back to the jeep and returned to Checkpoint-07.

Jack: I'm not doing too great, but my leg has healed a bit.
Dr. Cole That is good to hear. What exactly is lowering your mood?
Jack:[Jack sighs] I keep on having nightmares. Not normal ones, they're different…
Dr. Cole: What do you mean exactly?
Jack: I keep seeing XXXX's empty, dark eyes staring at me. Not blinking a single time. To make it worse, I keep having flashbacks of XXXX ripping apart the D-Class and Melissa. Their screams… It keeps me awake every time I try to sleep…
Dr. Cole: I see… I'd recommend amnestics, to help you forget what happened. This should stop the nightmares as well.
Jack: I guess that could help…

Following Interview XXXX-03-2:

5 days after the interview, Jack ██████ was found dead in his bed. Examination revealed that he suffered a cardiac arrest. Amnestics appear to be ineffective against XXXX's effect. On 21/06/████, the nearest full moon after the date of Jack's death, a XXXX specimen appeared in Jack's bedroom and breached containment resulting in 16 casualties before the specimen was neutralized. The original XXXX entity has been reclassified to SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 is not to be terminated. Other cases of XXXX are to be killed and examined to improve our understanding of XXXX. Personnel reporting similar things to Jack, such as nightmares of XXXX, are to be terminated and incinerated. Death locations of these victims are to be monitored during the next full moon to avoid any further containment breaches. Personnel who have encountered XXXX are to be questioned about nightmares, this also affects personnel who have been sent to other sites. There is currently one case of XXXX uncontained, named SCP-XXXX-3. It escaped at Site-██ and has not been spotted yet. The closest cities to Site-██ are being monitored for any unusual activity.

Incident XXXX-04:

XXXX-03 arrived at one of the monitored cities and managed to kill 4 civilians and 1 guard before being terminated. A cover-up story of a serial killing were published, although a civilian had to be given amnestics after witnessing the retrieval and incineration of the bodies. Civilians and guards were questioned one week later for any effects, but no one reported any.

Following Jack's death, project "Dream Watcher" was started to record what the subject sees and what causes this sudden heart attack. A device named DW-23 v1.0 was created and tested. The device displays what the subject sees in their dream. On 12/06/2016 the device was set up on a D-class experiencing the nightmares. The first recording made consisted of a dark screen with XXXX's eyes visible. The D-class woke up distressed and showed signs of extreme fear. The second recording consisted of the D-class running in a forest in a dense mist. XXXX was hunting him. The D-class woke up distressed and attacked personnel out of fear. Subject was sedated and testing continued. The third and final recording caused everyone viewing it to experience a sudden heart attack. This led to the death of the D-class, 4 researchers and one guard watching the room through a camera. Guards entered the testing chamber and unplugged the DW-23. Bodies were cleaned up and incinerated. Before a safety perimeter around the testing chamber could be established, 6 XXXX cases appeared in the testing chamber and in the camera room, leading to a mass containment breach and the death of all personnel in the area. Mobile Task Force Epsilon-11 codenamed Nine-Tailed Fox was sent to the site and managed to terminate 4 specimens without casualties of their own. 2 remain at large and are currently being tracked by Apache helicopters. The nearest cities to the site have been evacuated with the cover up story that there have been recordings of a potential earthquake. One specimen was terminated by a helicopter but XXXX-04 is still uncontained. MTF units that were engaged with 04 report that it was a lot bigger than the rest, which may mean that a subject's current physical strength may impact what the XXXX entity will be like. Project "Dream Watcher" has been scrapped and classified. The first 2 recordings have been stored and are only available to the eyes of the 05. Third recording has been deleted.

Incident XXXX-07:

XXXX-04 was tracked to a nearby cave entrance. A squad consisting of 8 MTF Zeta-9 operators has been sent into the cave to find and terminate XXXX-04.

Command: Zeta-Lead, do you copy?
Zeta-Lead: Yep, we can hear you loud and clear.
Command: Good, have you all seen the SCP file?
Zeta-Lead: Yeah, we know everything about XXXX.
Command. Alright. We've tracked XXXX-04 to this cave. The cave is quite large and we weren't able to get a good fix on its position, so be careful.
Zeta-Lead: We always are. Alright everyone, the operation is a go. Time to go in.
*The squad enters the cave*
Zeta-Lead Turn on your night vision goggles, it's gonna get dark.
*Camera activates night vision. Squad moves deeper into the cave*
Zeta-03: I've dealt with Euclid SCPs before, this is the first Keter SCP I was assigned to terminate…
Zeta-05: You'll live, we'll be done in no time.
Zeta-Lead: The effectiveness of our NVG is decreasing, turn on your IR floodlights.
*Squad turns on IR floodlights, revealing more of the cave.*
Zeta-02: God, how deep does this go?
Command: We managed to scan about 250 meters into the cave. It shouldn't be much further.
Zeta-07: There isn't a lot of space here, so we should be able to spot it first. It can't see Infrared light, right?
Command: We aren't sure, until now there hasn't been anything that could prove that.
Zeta-04: God, I hope it can't.
*A loud bark-like sound is heard echoing through the cave.*
Zeta-Lead: Shit, that was 04!
*Squad members look around to see if any portals appeared.*
Zeta-08: I don't see anything…
*A portal appears in front of Zeta-06*
Zeta-06: Fuck!
*Zeta-06 opens fire, but 04 jumped on top of him before he could hit it.*
Zeta-Lead- Damnit, get it off Z-06!
*Zeta-06 screams. The others back away and open fire.*
Zeta-03: Holy fuck, it got Z-06!
*04 is seen opening another portal and jumps thorugh it. The squad looks around to find that 04 disappeared.*
Zeta-Lead: Someone go check on Z-06!
*Zeta-02 approaches Zeta-06s body*
Zeta-02: Fuck… We lost him.
Zeta-Lead: Alright, let's get going, 04 is weakened, so we can take it out.
Zeta-03: Are we just gonna leave him?
Zeta-07: We can't do anything until we kill 04, so yes.
Command: We aren't picking up anything on our sensors, so 04 went deeper.
*Zeta-Lead makes a sign to follow him.*
*4 minutes later*
Zeta-03: This is a lot worse than I anticipated…
Zeta-08: Well, there's a good reason XXXX is a Keter class.
Zeta-07: Do you think our bullets wi-
*Another loud bark is heard*
Zeta-Lead: Here it comes!
*04 is seen running towards Zeta-08. It rips apart his face, Zeta-08 is heard screaming. Shots are fired at 04, but it now reached Zeta-07, but he managed to dodge the pounce with a roll. He stood up again and fired 5 shots point blank into its head. 04 collapsed after that.*
Zeta-07: Shit, fucker almost had me.
Zeta-03: Damn, we actually got him
Command: Amazing work everyone! Make sure to bring the bodies of Zeta-08 and Zeta-06. We sent a team to retrieve the body of XXXX-04.
Zeta-Lead: Will do. Let's get out of here everyone!
*The squad is seen exiting the cave. The bodies of 03 and 06 were put into bodybags. The body of XXXX-04 was retrieved and sent back to Zone-██ for research.*

Following Incident-XXXX-07:

Zeta-03 and Zeta-07 reported symptoms of XXXXs effect and had to be terminated and incinerated. No other known XXXX entities remain uncontained.
