Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX poses no direct threat to humanity when contained in a lightless area. When not in use for testing SCP-XXXX is to be held on Site-11 in a lead-lined light proof box. No light is to be used near SCP-XXXX when not in testing. Testing and access requires, or has to be approved by, three (3) level 5 researchers or higher.

When testing with SCP-XXXX it is crucial that SCP-XXXX has no contact with any unnecessary light. Light frequencies of 10^10.7 or shorter are safe for human interaction. Usage of any photon energy over 10^4.8 eV is strictly forbidden; suggestion or attempts of such are to be met with questioning, registering Class C amnestics, or termination. Testing must take place in a room with at least 3 foot thick concrete walls.

If SCP-XXXX is taken out of containment it is to be met with immediate action to recontain.¹ Lights within said room must be turned off, staff within the wing must evacuate, and a remote machine passing SCP-XXXX regulations will be used for recontainment. Regulation requirements include the vehicle to: Be under 3 feet wide to fit within site doorways, have a mechanical arm for retrieving SCP-XXXX, radar imaging camera to detect SCP-XXXX, no lighting fixtures are to be attached, and must be operated by qualified staff.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a .23kg half moon disk composed of a material resembling flint glass. Observing SCP-XXXX with the naked eye is not possible due to light amplification operations within. Though observation via large radio waves to scan the object have proven to be safe.

Hz waves of visible light ported through SCP-XXXX undergo major increase in wavelength along with frequency of the wave. for example visible light shone through will result in Gamma waves. Any UV, X-ray, or smaller sized electromagnetics are forbidden to be introduced to SCP-XXXX at any time.²

Light within SCP-XXXX gets multiplied by around 20 million times, increasing electron volts within to jump multiple levels up. For SCP-XXXX the Lorentz factor seems to be in a perfect state of 100, relative velocity appears to clock in around 5×10¹⁹ eV (50 EeV), or about 8 joules (the energy of a proton travelling at ≈99.99999999999999999998% the speed of light) Dr. ███████ discovering this after test-#XXXX-7.³

Procedure: Radio wave of 2.83x10⁷ Hz beamed through a focus lens into SCP-XXXX's face.

Results: A flux of green light shone through SCP-XXXX's back side. Light inside SCP-XXXX appears to be traveling as if the glass was a vacuum.

Analysis: Following this test other Radio waves were shone through the focus lens into SCP-XXXX. The visible light spectrum is all achievable via frequencies 20,000,000 times lower than that lights frequency level.

Procedure: Large gamma ray of 2.5x10¹² Hz beamed through a focus lens into SCP-XXXX's face.

Analysis: Though the production of a UHEGR via SCP-XXXX had made history in theoretical physics, UV, Xray, and especially gamma rays are from now on banned to tested with SCP-XXXX. The tests results have far more cons than pros. Dr. ███████ is to be taken off SCP-XXXX's list of allowed researchers.

Report: SCP-3872 was recovered on April 17, 2013, from ASCI Site-22 in [REDACTED], Oklahoma. ASCI Site-22 was not mentioned in any of the transition paperwork during [REDACTED] which lead to the loss of Site-22's location from records.

SCP Field Agents Denton and McDowell discovered Site-22 on a routine investigation into a potential anomaly from April 10 - April 17, 2013, which lead Agents Denton and McDowell to the ruins of Site-22. Below is a transcript of the body camera feed of recovery. Irrelevant sections have been removed.
