Special Containment Procedures: Scp-5566-A is located in the back of the site wing. Any instance of Scp-5566-1 must be allowed room to move, and must not be restrained in any manner during an active state. Scp-5566-1 instances should be kept in a wing of the site designated for the instances. All instances must be put in the wing ASAP. Instances outside of the foundation are to be taken in immediately to prevent further spread. MTF-Theta-33 AKA “Party Animals” is responsible for containment of anything related to Scp-5566. Scp-5566-1 have to be able to open the doors to their cells in their designated wing. Connecting to the wing is two large blast doors, Lv. 04 authentication required to open the doors. The doors are opened and closed in an airlock fashion, one being closed at all times. When progressing into the wing, a respirator will be provided to any personnel continuing forward. Full air tight hazmat suits are required to make contact with Scp-5566-A. Personnel at site-## are to deny any invitations to any party from anyone who may be infected. Scp-5566-1 instances can be transported for testing, but must be done after a recorded active state. All dead instances of Scp-5566-1 must be incinerated before fungal growth overcomes the body. Currently the only way to neutralize an instance are incendiary weapons or restraining the subject from the active state
Description: Scp-5566 is the designation of a fungal growth. The growth is a bright yellow and only grows in dark areas. A fungal growth measuring over 5 meters in size, is to be given a letter along with its corresponding number, it is unknown how many growths exist in the world, but there is one large growth within site-## (Scp-5566-A.) The fungus spreads of air transmission, which is why respirators and hazmat suits are required when coming in contact with an instance or the fungus itself. When infected by Scp-5566 the subject becomes an instance of Scp-5566-1. Scp-5566-1 has an increase in creativity, Motor skills, and language proficiency. Scp-5566-1 no longer needs water, normal food, or sleep. Scp-5566-1 become skinnier, neglecting any normal food provided, but has an increased time that the instances can live without food. Instead, if they eat, instances will choose to eat the fungal growth. A thin layer of the fungus can grow along their body, stopping at the neck, this thin layer has the ability to change color and pattern to match the other instances. During Scp-5566-1 normal state, the instances will pretend to have food, do a job, or attend public gatherings. They also show signs of a normal social status, and their own government, choosing Scp-5566-A as their supreme lord. It is unknown if Scp-5566-A speaks or sends a telepathic signal, but instances will tell foundation members that Scp-5566-A speaks to them, and they can’t hear. Scp-5566 is classified as a chronic fungus. Causing an active state in instances every # hours. The active state consists of mind altering anomalous effects in Scp-5566-1 instances. They will all begin to get up and spontaneously break into harmonial vocalization and muscular spasms., though there was no preparation beforehand, they are synchronized, harmonized, and choreographed (Color changes in the fungus can occur to match the others). During these states Scp-5566 is much more contagious. Trying to restrain an instance in the active state will cause the instance to die within 5 minutes if it can’t join back into the choreographed number. Autopsy reports show total organ failure. The normal fungus will grow and overtake the dead bodies when not incinerated within 3 hours. Instances can also be excluded from the activity, and the subject will try and restrain another instance and throw the body upon Scp-5566-A, causing the growth to increase. All active numbers are to be recorded and words written down in case they show any sign of classified information or clues to neutralize Scp-5566. Scp-5566-1 after a month will begin to show signs of sleep deprivation, where they are vulnerable to attacks from the other Scp-5566-1. Scp-5566-1 will attempt to infect more people by inviting them to see their show or go with them. The person will have a hard time resisting the temptation of joining the fun. 30 minutes into initial exposure, the subject is now classified as a Scp-5566-1 instance. Scp-5566-1 is rarely hostile, the only recorded times are during restraining efforts, trying to restrain another instance, and self defense.
Addendum 01: Termination attempts were conducted on Scp-5566-A, incendiary weapons, radioactive material, extreme heat and cold, and physical harm. Results were all negative, conclusion was Scp-5566-A is not able to be neutralized using any known method so far. But, smaller growths can be incinerated. Interviews can now be conducted on Scp-5566-1 successfully after successful interview 5566-1-07.
Interview 5566-1-01 results: Scp-5566-1 was attempting to escape, and within 5 minutes of the interview, Scp-5566-1 was declared unresponsive, 1 MTF Theta-33 agent was dispatched and the Scp-5566-1 instance was incinerated.

Interview 5566-1-07 results: After continual failures researcher Dr. H######, came up with proposal Drati-55 which involves multiple instances and the interview must not exceed 30 min. Surprisingly Drati-55 was successful.

Seth: How am I supposed to stay calm in a windowless room? You are cruel. I’ve seen the cells in our wing, you were expecting something bigger, but you got us.
Dr. H######: Seth, when were you first exposed to Scp-5566?
Seth: WHAT THE HECK is that?
Dr. H######: Seth, remain calm or you could be terminated. When were you exposed to the fungus?
Seth: I don’t know exactly but about 3 months ago? My friends invited me to a party. I am not a introvert so, I went.
Dr. H######: What happened after that?
Seth: well… we… went to this freaky deaky warehouse, and there were about 30 people there, all in these yellow jumpsuit looking things… behind them was a large yellow mass… I looked at it and saw… [apprehensively] bodies, hundreds, maybe more. And the smell… the smell.
Dr. H######: where was this warehouse?
Seth: I don’t know man, I don’t know anything since this infection appeared. All I can think about is creating.
Dr. H######: Do you know where you used to live?
Seth: is that a joke?
Dr. H######: it was not a joke, do you remember or not?
Seth: No.
Dr. H######: we are almost out of time, one question left, are you conscious during your active state?
Seth: It’s like having a good dream that was so real, and it stops, you wake up and are forced to use your energy and create.
