Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of the anomaly, full containment is not possible. However, it is possible to minimise exposure to the public. One copy of each transcription of SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a single standard lockbox at Site 19’s High-value Item Storage Facility. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be taken into Foundation custody and should be made to transcribe SCP-XXXX. All instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are to be interviewed if possible. Any new instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are to be noted, along with their attributed traits and favoured locations.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a song of unknown origin. It has no defined rhythm or metre but is described as sounding definitively aboriginal. The true words of the song are known only by a small number of individuals (designated SCP-XXXX-1). Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have no distinctive features setting them apart from regular human beings, nor do they belong to any one race or nation. SCP-XXXX is always transcribed in Olmec, but no instance of SCP-XXXX-1 has ever transcribed SCP-XXXX consistently with another, with the symbols used differing subtly between some versions, and greatly between others. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 consider themselves to be chosen by an instance of SCP-XXXX-2.
When SCP-XXXX is sung, at least one instance of SCP-XXXX-2 will manifest. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 have the physical appearance of animals and have a third eye. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 display an extremely high level of sapience, higher than that which is assigned to most humans and can speak all known languages, and also some unknown ones. They are considered as sources of great wisdom by instances of SCP-XXXX-1. All instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are referred to by the name of the animal they represent. Each instance of SCP-XXXX-2 has a set of “traits” attributed to it by instances of SCP-XXXX-1 and other instances of SCP-XXXX-2, as well as a preferred environment in which they are more amicable and helpful. The instances claim to choose people with those traits, and the instances of SCP-XXXX-2 that appear are based on the perceived traits of the singer.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 can teach SCP-XXXX to other individuals, but will only do so if said individual is they consider to be worthy. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have been taught SCP-XXXX by another instance of SCP-XXXX-1 or SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 instances will manifest before individuals they consider worthy and teach them SCP-XXXX. The criteria for worthiness is unknown as all instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have said that they “Just know” when someone is worthy and instances of SCP-XXXX-2 answer with meaningless vagueries, such as “You will know when you achieve it” and “Worthiness cannot be achieved with a checklist”. No members of the Foundation have yet been judged worthy.
