SCP-XXXX.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard containment locker within Storage Wing-08 in Site-75.

Personnel with Level 4 security clearance may conduct tests on SCP-XXXX if said anomaly's container is confirmed to be empty and in an inactive state. SCP-XXXX is to be damaged prior to the beginning of any experiment, unless said procedure is overriden by Site director.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a cardboard box of unspecified brand which weighs 175g. The object's surface does not possess any notices or writings, other than a standard "fragile" symbol.

SCP-XXXX's properties manifest when a physical object is placed inside of its container, with its lid closed afterwards. Within 1 to 5 minutes, the object placed inside of the container will start to corrode1 at the molecular level by unknown means. The speed at which this process occurs and finishes has been observed to vary on the nature of the object2. During this event, if SCP-XXXX is or was physically damaged, it will start to regenerate lost cardboard, and flatten crumpled areas of its surface, as if "repairing" itself. If SCP-XXXX is not physically damaged, SCP-XXXX's cardboard material will appear to increase its hardness and solidity, becoming more resistant than standard cardboard3. There is currently no known method to revert this process, and as such, SCP-XXXX is to be damaged prior to testing.4

SCP-XXXX was brought to the foundation's attention when on-field operatives who were embedded in the Global Occult Coalition (GOC) reported ███ neutralizations of anomalous items held by the Coalition in the span of 4 days. Upon further investigation, a casefile concerning SCP-XXXX was found, along with other casefiles mentioning its designation.

Experiment Logs:

Experiment-XXXX-01:
Date: 19/10/20██
Pre-dealt damage: SCP-XXXX was hit multiple times with a crowbar, resulting in multiple crumpled areas as well as loss of 28% of its mass.
Input: A 1.8 kg steel ingot.
Results: After 50 minutes, SCP-XXXX was re-opened. The ingot had fully rusted and was starting to disintegrate. SCP-XXXX has regained all of its lost mass and has flattened most of the crumpled areas.

Experiment-XXXX-02:
Date: 23/10/20██
Pre-dealt damage: SCP-XXXX was torn in half, with one of the halves being incinerated. Approximately 50% of its mass was lost.
Input: A 2.0 kg iron Ingot.
Results: After 50 minutes, SCP-XXXX successfully recreated its missing half out of thin air, despite the box not being "closed" due to the hole. The incinerated half has not shown any signs of repair and as such is deemed non-anomalous.

Experiment-XXXX-03:
Date: 29/10/20██
Pre-dealt damage: SCP-XXXX was hit multiple times with a crowbar, resulting in multiple crumpled areas aswell as loss of 37% of its mass.
Input: 1.8 kg of Bos taurus5.
Results: After 50 minutes, SCP-XXXX was re-opened. The meat had completely decomposed, having experienced severe rotting. Only 8% of SCP-XXXX's mass was recovered.

Note: It appears unorganic materials are more effective for SCP-XXXX to repair itself than organic ones.

Experiment-XXXX-04: (see Incident-XXXX-04)
Date: 02/11/20██
Pre-dealt damage: SCP-XXXX was torn in half, with one of the halves being incinerated. Instead of putting something in SCP-XXXX's container, the anomaly was repaired by researcher Matthew using standard duct tape. SCP-XXXX was taped to the other half of a non-anomalous cardboard box similar in both weight and dimensions. Said box was also damaged a bit, showing crumpled areas in multiple spots.
Input: N/A
Results: See camera footage below

Incident-XXXX-04:
Date: 02/11/20██
Incident: At 11:37 AM EST, all transmission and communication with Site-75 was lost. Mobile Task Force Beta-7 ("Maz Hatters") was sent to investigate. The task force was unable to enter the Facility as the entrance doors could not be opened. Attempts to break or make a hole in a wall or door to get inside the Site have been unsuccessful even with the use of dynamites and other highly destructive tools. All personnel in Site-75 are to be deemed lost or deceased.

It is theorized that SCP-XXXX has somehow integrated the entirety of Site-75 into itself through unknown means. The current theory is that Experiment-XXXX-04 is the cause of this event, as it was the only experiment involving SCP-XXXX integrating an object to itself.

A perimeter has been set around Site-75 and no personnel are to enter it. Any civilian approaching the perimeter are to be apprehended and given class B amnestics before release.

Addendum-XXXX-06:
Date: 01/12/20██
Personnel stationed at the set perimeter are reporting signs of tiredness and sickness aswell as material breaking and malfunctioning. Perimeter-XXXX is on temporary lockdown until further notice.
