SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a 5x5x5 metal enclosure and must be connected to a desktop computer (SCP-XXXX-1) at all times. The effects of disconnecting the device from SCP-XXXX-1 are unknown at the time of writing.
SCP-XXXX-1 is not to be interacted with at any time, and clearance to enter the enclosure must be given by a unanimous vote from the O5 council. 1 guard must always remain outside the enclosure.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a mechanical desktop keyboard manufactured in █████. The device is capable of communicating by flashing its RGB lights in ASCII. The reason for the keyboard’s intelligence/sentience is unknown, however it may be linked to a modification made to the keyboard by its original owner (SCP-XXXX-2). SCP-XXXX is able to send messages questioning its own existence. However, due to the modification’s primitive nature, it is only able to send messages every few months.

Dr. █████: No. Shut up. We’ve got a task to do, and I can’t deal with you obstructing it. Now, tell me. What modification did you make to the keyboard?
SCP-XXXX-2: I… attached an Arduino to it. I was seeing if I could make it into a computer. I was just messing around, and now you’ve put me in this horrific place!
Dr. █████: Stop it! This is being logged, so behave yourself. The sooner you answer these questions, the sooner you’ll be let free.
SCP-XXXX-2: Alright, alright.
Dr. █████: If you were only messing around, then why has the keyboard reached a state of sentience? Did you make some sort of… AI or something?
SCP-XXXX-2: I don’t know! I honestly don’t know! Please stop! I don’t know. This place is driving me mad. I don’t kn-
