Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a small containment chamber about 7 meters in all diameters. SCP-XXXX is provided with food and water through two small metal tubes extruding from the wall of its containment area. SCP-XXXX is also to be provided with various abstract structures and decorative objects in its containment area for the purpose of recreation.
SCP-XXXX is not to come into contact with any foundation staff due of the potential risk of its anomalous properties affecting them, possibly resulting in a containment breach.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a small feline creature bearing resemblance to an average domesticated cat, although with several unique physical features not observed in other specimens of its species. When any living human comes into visual contact with SCP-XXXX, they immediately abandon their current task in favor of interacting with the creature. Subjects that are affected by SCP-XXXX assume a defensive state when approached by foundation personnel, seeking to supposedly protect SCP-XXXX from the assumed threat posed by the facility staff. After more than 1 hour of exposure to SCP-XXXX, subjects become extremely protective of it, and will become hostile to any other creatures that approach it. After prolonged interaction with SCP-XXXX, subjects temporarily enter a comatose state, although analyses of their brain activity during this stage show that they are experiencing unusually high dopamine production. After 4 hours, the comatose status ends, and the subjects return to their normal activities, oblivious to their previous behavior.
