Entity: SCP-5077
Object Class: Safe/[Euclid]/Keter
Special Containment Procedures: A square 3x3 meter cell
The cell must be exactly the same in measurement, any mismatch in length and height proportions will cause the target distress, even a millimeter is a cause for concern.
Fog must be pumped in the cell weekly to support breathing, as it needs a humid atmosphere.
Access to 5077’s cell is allowed to all members of the Foundation, as it has not shown any aggression.
Yet, all interactions will be monitored, as this creature’s intelligence may lead to increased interest in the other SCPs.
Any mention of other SCPs to SCP-5077 is strictly forbidden.
SCP-5077 may become aggressive if knowledge is withheld from it, only get information from it, do not let it get information from you.
Description: Creature is a bipedal humanoid approximately 1.5 meters in length, with black skin pigmentation and little facial features, with only a small mouth, sunken cheeks, and eye socket definition yet no eyes are there, only a layer of skin.
Believed to be blind, it is also believed to maneuver through microscopic hairs across the body.
Addendum 5077-1: SCP-5077 is very intelligent, almost to the level of a savant, solving complex mathematical equations we give it tri-weekly, and painting beautiful illustrations of a forest.
It seems to have all-consuming OCD, to the point of it not eating or drinking because of it.
It is quite cordial, often heard making conversation with the researchers around it.
Many questions have been asked, including what happened to Private Larry Dennings, a member of Captain Makings’ [DATA REDACTED].
It responded by saying that Dennings was [DATA REDACTED] in the forest where it was found.
Because of this answer, personnel seem uneasy in spite of its cheery personality.
Addendum 5077-2: A writing utensil was introduced into 5077’s cell, along with a blackboard to draw on.
The creature at first looked at the utensil, and began writing unknown symbols onto the board, many of which, depict similar creatures to 5077.
Questions asked about these creatures, always resulted in 5077 telling some childhood story of it learning to hunt squirrel in its native forest.
Further research attempts into the forest, named officially Area-[DATA REDACTED], are being requested by my team.
Addendum 5077-3: A D-Class told SCP-5077 that other SCPs exist unintentionally, by saying, “SCP-5077, appears healthy and in good condition.”
Immediately the D-Class was removed and reprimanded severely for telling 5077 it is not the only SCP in existence.
The D-Class was known for his habit of saying what he was reporting, this habit caused the incident.
Attempts to erase SCP-5077’s memory have failed, it seems to have excellent memory retention.
It now asks us questions about other SCPs, which we have refused to acknowledge exist.
Addendum 5077-4: SCP-5077 is despondent, not conversing with researchers as they come in, and not asking questions about other SCPs.
It was unsettling for the personnel, it just faced the western wall of the containment cell, opposite the camera.
The research team sent a knowledgeable D-Class into the cell, the moment he stepped in, the cameras began to malfunction, a scream came from the cell, then immediately was silenced.
A group of worried D-Class ran in, against the wishes of the research staff.
After firing a round, the cameras came online again.
The scene was strange, the D-Class that was heard screaming was perfectly healthy, and the bullet that was fired, was in SCP-5077’s hand, as if snatched from the air.
The other D-Class were also perfectly healthy, in complete mental health, no adverse effects from the incident.
All of the D-Class said they had seen something that was important information to know about 5077, but they could not remember.
Hypnosis was used on the D-Class to retrieve the memory, it was unsuccessful.
Addendum 5077-5: When asked about the events that transpired during the incident described in Addendum 5077-4, SCP-5077 refused to acknowledge such an event ever took place.
When asked about the bullet it kept from the incident, it said it had snatched it out from the air in its cell on the day of the incident.
It is presumed to be lying about the circumstance in which the bullet was caught, however, testing this theory by firing weapons at the creature, is hard to get clearance for, as there is no clear reason other than, “It’s acting strange.”
Also, the creature’s human-level intelligence raises some issues with the Ethics Board.
Addendum 5077-6: Clearance for weapons test on SCP-5077 is granted.
A thorough medical examination before testing revealed something strange about its physiology however.
It has a weaker skeletal system, smaller muscle mass, and running speed than an average human.
The creature is incredibly fragile, an estimation run by my team is that, a somewhat forceful force will break its jaw.
Such as a slap or punch.
This instance is much different from the other instance we recovered (see Incident 5077-B),
it’s much more intelligent, yet weaker in all other areas.
It seems this is an abnormality among the abnormal.
5077-A(Test Log) - [DATA REDACTED]
Subject: SCP-5077’s defensive/offensive abilities
Procedure: We have released SCP-5077 onto a firing range, a D-Class 30 meters away, with an AR-15 (Same weapon discharged on the date of Incident-A), is at the other end of the firing line.
When ordered, the D-Class will shoot at 5077’s head, testing SCP-5077’s basic defense measures.
Results: 5077 has caught the bullet by [DATA REDACTED]
Analysis: Once the bullet was fired, SCP-5077 snatched the bullet from the air.
This is impossible by the creature’s sensory limits
(Being blind, and not hearing us discuss the area targeted)
The only other explanation would be its microscopic hairs, we may have misinterpreted how far these hairs could reach.
Addendum 5077-7: This creature is hiding something, and not just its abilities.
The interest in other SCPs is growing to an uncontrollable rate, it is the only thing it asks about.
It also does not answer any questions, and has grown more and more aloof.
Personnel are worried about it plotting something.
