Item #: SCP-5000

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5000 is to be kept in a double walled, sound proof containment cell with at least 7 meters between the walls. The inner cell is 30M x 30M x 30M. SCP-500 should be placed in the center on a 4M tall stand. A double door, one in the inner wall and one on the outer, is to be used when sending multiple test subjects into the containment cell so that SCP-5000’s sound is not heard. A camera with NO AUDIO (see incident 5000-L1) is to be placed on the roof of
SCP-5000’s containment cell for remote observation of experiments. A turret is to also be installed to terminate SCP-5000-1 once testing is complete

Description: SCP-5000 is a Bb silver Bach trumpet with a Serial NO. ETR460. SCP-5000 was previously thought to be made of brass with a silver plating, but after incident 5000-L2 it was determined to be made of an indestructible material.
SCP-5000 does not appear to affect anyone who has played a brass instrument before. If a brass player is in the presence of SCP-5000 they can pick up and use SCP-5000 as if it were a normal trumpet.

If a non brass player is within 6 meters of SCP-5000 the person, now SCP-5000-1, becomes extremely agitated and will attempt to play SCP-5000 at all cost. No known material can obstruct SCP-5000-1 from getting to SCP-5000. Once SCP-5000-1 is playing SCP-5000 the only way to stop SCP-5000-1 from playing is by termination of non gaseous means1
Sound levels from SCP-5000 have been documented to have reached 265db. These sound levels do not appear to affect SCP-5000-1, however if another human were to hear SCP-5000 the person, now SCP-5000-2, will be come extremely enraged and will attempt to stop hearing SCP-5000 usually by ripping their ears off, but on a few occasions have been observed to use objects to shove into their ears to burst their eardrums.
