Special Containment Procedures: 4034 is to be contained in a clearance 2 10x10x10 space of concrete with a security camera monitoring the cell and should be checked on every hour SCP-4034 is (as of 9/14/18) to be contained in a 25x25x25 reinforced steel cell and must have a minimum of 3 security cameras being monitored at all times. The cell is to have 2 armed guards at the cell at all times. Only those with clearance level 4 are allowed access to any information of the entity
Description: SCP-4034 is a sailors noose found at the origin on an old tree near roselle, illinois, and has been moved to site 17 for containment. The actual entity itself is made of standard tire material, that cannot be cut, scared, burned, destroyed, or altered in any way besides movement
SCP-4034 hosts a memetic effect, making anyone within a 5 meter radius feel suicidal until out of that field. Subject’s that are under the effect say that they do not feel depressed or hopeless in any way and the feeling is panicking. One d-class was interviewed

Interviewer: So we understand that you were a part of an experiment with SCP 4034, when you were under the effect, did you feel depressed or helpless at all?
Person: not at all, it didn't feel like there was a real reason to kill myself, i… i just felt like i should die, like it was just a natural thing
Interviewer: interesting, (the interviewer writes down this information). Did you ever feel pressured? A forced feeling of wanting to die?
Person:n… no, it wasn't that hard to control, it felt like… the feeling of wanting to die, but not wanting to commit suicide, it was the strangest feeling i've ever had, and it almost felt wonderful.
Interviewer: (the researcher writes this down) thank you for your imensive cooperation, we will fill out a release form tomorrow
