Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Foundation front company Sams Citrus Products is to occupy and handle all processing and shipments to and from Orange County Farms. Foundation agents embedded in workforce are to monitor for any further anomalous activity and are equipped with necessary Hume monitoring devices.

Any new instances of SCP-XXXX-A are to be secured and sent to Site 103 for storage. SCP-XXXX-A instances are to be stored in standard anomalous object containment lockers. SCP-XXXX-B is to be held in a standard low level reality bender containment cell in Site 88, with one Scranton Reality Anchor present at all times except for testing purposes. At no point should SCP-XXXX-B come into contact with any SCP-XXXX-A instances unless permission for testing is granted by at least two Level 4 Pataphysical Research Department Heads.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an orange farm located in Orange County, Florida. Prior to discovery by the Foundation, SCP-XXXX was owned by an individual designated PoI-2622. Interviews with local residents described labor primarily consisting of illegal immigrants. SCP-XXXX primarily functioned as a seemingly non-anomalous orange farm, except for the instances of SCP-XXXX-A growing there.

SCP-XXXX-A instances represent normal Citrus X sinensis that can be consumed as normal with no adverse affects, save for two key differences. One is their abnormally high Hume levels, measuring at 1.5 times the level of the surrounding area. The second is their ability to grow into SCP-XXXX-B instances under specific circumstances, or when manipulated by another SCP-XXXX-B instance.

SCP-XXXX-B are humanoid entities that retain their high Hume levels from their original state. In accordance with Scranton's Law, their discrepant Hume level in relation to their surrounding reality grants them minor reality bending capabilities. SCP-XXXX-B instances are identical in appearance to humans, save for their orange tinted skin, fully black eyes and lack of observable body hair. Should an instance of SCP-XXXX-A or a non anomalous Citrus x sinensis fruit be presented to SCP-XXXX-B, it will make an attempt to "hatch" the instance. Testing has shown partial success before being halted. See testing logs in addendum for full report.

SCP-XXXX was called to the Foundations attention when reports of an "orange skinned child" (later designated SCP-XXXX-B) working on the field were shared between workers in nearby farms. Agents embedded in agricultural workforce were alerted and notified the Foundation. Reconnaissance of the farm by agents confirmed the existence of the entity as well as abnormal Hume levels. Due to this, it was deemed necessary to bring in MTF Lambda-5 for the securing of a potential reality bending anomaly. Both SCP-XXXX-A instances and SCP-XXXX-B were successfully contained. PoI-2622 could not be located anywhere around the premises. Searching of PoI-2622's quarters revealed worn thaumaturgical symbols surrounding the east wall as well as numerous papers on the desk opposite. Of interest was a letter, which at it's discovery was tattered and torn, possibly an incomplete attempt at its destruction. What information could be salvaged from the letter is listen in the addendum below.
