Special Containment Procedures: Containment of SCP-6174 is primarily focused on preventing unauthorized entry into its containment unit as the anomaly itself has shown no desire to escape. For this purpose, two keycards are required to enter the observation chamber; The first of which assigned to Doctor █████, the second assigned to the containment's guard, who is to be rotated out weekly.

SCP-6174 is to be contained in a lead lined 10 m x 10 m x 8 m humanoid containment unit with standard safety measures for low-risk humanoids as detailed in Document 0998-KA.

Description: SCP-6174 is a cognitohazardous entity approximately 3 meters in height and 150 kilograms in weight. SCP-6174 is humanoid in shape, yet otherworldly in appearance, comparable to an H.R. Giger painting.

SCP-6174's primary anomalous effect only occurs after long-term repeated exposure. Those effected undergo a three stage condition referred to as 6174-1, 6174-2, and 6174-3. The speed at which the stages develop is directly related to a person's psychic resistance; those with higher scores develop slower, but those with lower scores are incapable of developing 6174-3.

SCP-6174's secondary anomalous effect is to telepathically communicate with any entity within 10 meters of 6174. 6174 is capable of reading the thoughts of any creature within 10 meters, as well as respond in the form of adding thoughts to their head.

Description: 6174-1 is the first of three stages of SCP-6174's cognitohazardous effect. The condition takes anywhere from a few hours to a month of prolonged exposure to develop depending on the victim's psychic resistance.

The victim begins to have their dreams influenced. Visions of a dark god beckoning the target into a blissful oblivion flood their dreams, yet the feeling is not nightmarish, and more calming. The god claims to wish to take the target with them into the next world, a higher plane of existence.

At this point, the individual might begin experiencing insomnia or sleep paralysis, rarely seeing a mental image of SCP-6174 in the dark corners of the room.

Description: 6174-2 is the second of three stages of SCP-6174's cognitohazardous effect. 6174-2 begins to start developing as 6174-1 manifests, not activating until completely developed. This effect can take at least two weeks to develop, and at its longest, a year.

The victim forms a psychological connection with 6174, allowing for the entity to read and influence the victim's thoughts. The range limit on how close someone must be to telepathically communicate extends to a mile. The victim will eventually form some sort of attachment similar to Stockholm Syndrome to SCP-6174.

Description: 6174-3 is the third and final stage of SCP-6174's cognitohazardous effect. The time it takes for this to manifest varies rapidly depending on the person, ranging anywhere from hours to a decade.

6174's range of communication no longer has a distance restriction. The anomoly has free reign over the thoughts of the affected individual, influencing them to a heightened degree. The victim begins to believe that they are a disciple of 6174, proclaiming the entity to be 'The Black Pharaoh' and proclaiming themselves to be a member of 'The Esoteric Order of The Crawling Chaos'. This stage usually results in termination.
