This is my guitar SCP article. I haven't yet written the addendum paragraphs.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is currently located at Site-19. It is to be stored in a standard molded guitar case, in a high security safe. Access to the item is prohibited for staff whose level clearance is lower than 4. The code of the safe is to be changed every 3 weeks. The guitar’s body is to be cleaned and polished using carnauba wax, and the neck is to be conditioned with a lemon oil solution every 6 months. Tuning and restringing is advised before use. The body of the instrument is not to make any contact with plastic for a period exceeding 2 weeks, due to the possibility of corrosion of the nitrocellulose lacquer body finish. Research on SCP-XXXX can only be conducted if allowed by the O5 Council, the only members of the foundation with access to the safe’s code. Only class D personnel are to be exposed to SCP-XXXX’s anomalous properties, due to numerous risky situations that may occur while using the item.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a Fender Stratocaster electric guitar in three color sunburst finish and of unknown production year, due to the unidentified serial number. It is thought that the guitar was produced during mid sixties, considering the shape of the headstock and the wear of the body. The weight of the guitar is approximately 4.1kg, unusually heavy for this guitar model. The phrase “in memory of a dreamer” is printed on the inside of the tremolo cover. Under the pick guard, a black square component with a side of 1.3 cm and 4 copper terminals can be seen next to the bridge pickup. The two terminals are connected to the volume potentiometer, and the other two to the output jack. Further attempts to understand the purpose of the iteam have failed, due to its indestructible nature. However, after a few experiments with variable frequency input, it has been noticed that at exactly 84,42 GHz, a wave of unknown radiation type is transmitted from the object causing power failure to every electronic device in a radius of 17 meters. The guitar can be played normally as every other guitar, and the player does not appear to experience any anomalies. However, anomalous activity occurs when a song from the band The Beatles is played. The player, after picking the first few notes of the song, gets surrounded by a pale blue sphere and rapidly gets transported to the time and location where the first live performance that included the played song took place. The player may roam freely around the audience, but his presence is almost completely unnoticed by the crowd. Interaction with people can be accomplished, although every action of the player is being forgotten within five minutes. It is confirmed that the location of the live performance does not belong to an instance of a parallel reality, because objects that have been placed in random locations during tests by class D personnel were found years later by researchers of the foundation. After approximately 7 hours, the player returns back to his previous time space point. This duration depends on how well he played and how clear the notes were pronounced. After being psychologically examined, many of the subjects that had used SCP-XXXX were found to suffer from psychological disorders such as depression, catatonia and schizophrenia.
SCP-XXXX was discovered when the CCTV operator of a rock bar at [DATA EXPUNGED] noticed that ██████████, the guitarist who had been playing at a concert that night disappeared and reappeared instantaneously with the presence of an “electrified sphere”, while he was preparing for the second half of the concert at a private room. After the incident was reported to the local police station, the foundation was quickly notified and the guitarist was interrogated at his house by a special psychologist. See addendum 1 for the full conversation. Because of his serious psychological trauma he had experienced and his extreme anxiety and fear, his words did not completely make sense but the guitar was contained by the foundation. He was later administered Class - B amnestics. According to ██████████, the guitar was very expensive and was bought in an old antique shop in England in 1994. The seller told him that he would truly experience the music with this guitar. The next day, he went back to the same road the shop had been, but in its place he only found an old abandoned building. Based on the description of the antique shop, its location and the other items that were for sale, it is suspected that Marshall, Carter and Dark Ltd. was involved and the individual who sold the item had close connections to them.
