Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: [Paragraphs explaining the procedures]

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a spheroid object approximately 13.7 centimeters in diameter. Although most compositional analysis methods are not possible due to its nature, spectroscopy indicates that the item is primarily composed of standard-grade polyvinyl chloride plastic with traces of common synthetic rubber. SCP-XXXX-1 is safety orange in color and does not display any further distinctive features besides its anomalous ones.

Through rigorous testing, it has been determined that SCP-XXXX-1 is immune to virtually all standard techniques that would perforate, damage or otherwise separate into distinct components other non-anomalous objects of the same structure, density, size, and material. Contrary to what would be expected and chemically-acceptable, all of the molecules that constitute SCP-XXXX-1 appear to be bound by an unknown, extremely intense force. This effect is commonly referred to by assigned researchers as simply SCP-XXXX-Alpha.

When a living human being comes into any sort of physical contact with SCP-XXXX-1, said individual will undergo a transformation usually dictated by the stages described below. This anomalous property is frequently denominated SCP-XXXX-Beta and never targets inanimate objects or otherwise biological organisms that do not meet the aforementioned criteria (see Incident Report XXXX-34).

Stage 1 (or SCP-XXXX-Beta-1)
Subjects (hereafter referred to as SCP-XXXX-2) start breathing heavily and show signs of extreme distress, although do not appear to be capable of vocalization. If unrestrained most will aimlessly run around the room or area in a panicked manner. SCP-XXXX-2 become very pale and sometimes even change their skin tone into a light grey. Roughly 10% of all subjects collapse during this stage due to heart failure, while the remaining subjects proceed to Stage 2 after up to ninety (90) seconds.
Stage 2 (or SCP-XXXX-Beta-2)
SCP-XXXX-2 suddenly begin being unable to move and essentially become completely immobile except for involuntary actions such as breathing. Clothes, accessories and other objects being worn by SCP-XXXX-21 seemingly disintegrate, leaving subjects nude and fully exposed to external harm. This stage has not yet been observed directly causing any casualties (despite having led to various infections settling when not occurring in a sterile environment in several occasions in the past) and usually only lasts from ten (10) to twenty (20) seconds.
Stage 3 (or SCP-XXXX-Beta-3)
SCP-XXXX-2 exhibit a blank, neutral expression and begin humming an excerpt of what has been identified as being Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14, even if they had never been exposed to it or its existence. Subjects appear to be unconscious of external stimuli during this stage, although injuries will still be physically effective. Electroencephalographic studies have shown that subjects experience a drastic amount of pain during this stage, amplified by the lack of means to express it. As this happens, their entire body (including external and internal organs) become translucid and then semi-transparent. This stage can last up to fifty (50) seconds. Approximately 40% of SCP-XXXX-2 who reach this stage enter a deep comatose state and impromptu cease all life functions within twenty-four (24) months, whilst the rest continue to Stage 4.
Stage 4 (or SCP-XXXX-Beta-4)
SCP-XXXX-2 begin to produce a garment (SCP-XXXX-3) by unknown means, covering the entirety of subjects' bodies and leaving only an orifice for their face. SCP-XXXX-3 quickly shifts in position and size, effectively shaping itself to resemble become a black hooded cloak. Although SCP-XXXX-3 appears to be made out of standard wool and other non-anomalous fabrics, it has been found to be at least partially bulletproof (depending on the intensity of the force applied by the bullet). Attempts to remove SCP-XXXX-3 from SCP-XXXX-2 have been met with failure, as it is internally embedded into the subjects' bodies. Once SCP-XXXX-3 has fully formed, which usually happens within ten (10) seconds, SCP-XXXX-2 spontaneously combust into large white flames (SCP-XXXX-4). Research has shown SCP-XXXX-4 instances have an average temperature of 1████ K, therefore being exceptionally harmful to most materials. Despite this, around two-thirds of SCP-XXXX-2 are immune to their detrimental effects, possibly not even being aware of them. The subjects that represent the remaining third are vulnerable to the extreme temperature, however, and instantaneously combust the entirety of their bodies - as well as the SCP-XXXX-3 attached to them - into ashes. Should they survive, SCP-XXXX-2 proceed to Stage 5.
Stage 5 (or SCP-XXXX-Beta-5)
SCP-XXXX-2 regain control of their body, although they continue being unable to vocalize or communicate properly. At this point, a large red steel scythe (SCP-XXXX-5) is produced and starts being held by the subjects (usually using their right hand) from no obvious source, causing mild confusion from which SCP-XXXX-2 quickly recover. SCP-XXXX-5 is often described as glowing, yet no source point for said glow has been identified. This stage typically lasts up to 20 seconds as SCP-XXXX-2 slowly acknowledge their newly-produced weapon, as well as start becoming increasingly more enraged towards any living being within their reach.
Stage 6 (or SCP-XXXX-Beta-6)
Due to the aforementioned anger buildup, SCP-XXXX-2 become extremely hostile and attempt to attack Foundation personnel at the first opportunity. Although subjects appear to remain rational, it is thought that the traumatic effect resulting of the previous stages leave them unable to reason and show mercy (this has only happened in approximately 4% of all known cases since Foundation custody of SCP-XXXX-1). Stage 6 is also characterized by subjects gaining a combination of two to four unnatural and previously-inexistent abilities (advantaging or not), the most common of which are described below in Table XXXX-I. This stage lasts until SCP-XXXX-2 expire.
Stage 7 (or SCP-XXXX-Beta-7)
Upon expiring, being captured or being sedated, all matter constituting SCP-XXXX-2 and respective SCP-XXXX-3 / SCP-XXXX-4 objects seemingly cease to exist, creating an area of high pressure that is quickly replaced by any gas or liquid part of the atmosphere around them. Samples of SCP-XXXX-2 or aforementioned objects collected prior to Stage 7 also suffer this effect. After Stage 7 is complete (almost instantly), subjects are to be considered neutralized.

Addendum XXXX-A: Following Incident XXXX-34, Dr. Adams has submitted a request for SCP-XXXX's reclassification to Euclid, which is currently pending. Approved by Senior Researcher Williams, ██/██/████.
