Item #: SCP-6054

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-6054's containment is a simple procedure. It is to be contained within a room approximating the size of a living room or bedroom with ample amenities to keep it occupied, though it is unclear if SCP-6054 requires these as humans do, or if it simply prefers having something to occupy itself with. SCP-6054 has expressed great interest in creative hobbies, such as painting and writing and as such has been given a notepad and ample supply of pens. SCP-6054 has also expressed interest in gaining access to the internet, though that privilege is yet to be given to it.

As stated previously, SCP-6054 may not require entertainment at all, going through a period of time of three weeks without any adverse effects being recorded in regards to SCP-6054. It is, however, recommended to keep SCP-6054 occupied with any passions it may have as failure to do so may result in an increase in natural disasters and abnormal weather throughout the world, though a direct correlation is yet to be established.

Description:
SCP-6054 takes the appearance of a humanoid, being bipedal and with two eyes placed where a standard human's eyes would be, though discerning any other detail regarding appearance is near impossible due to SCP-6054 being permanently cloaked in shadow, for the lack of a better term. SCP-6054 can be described as a shadow with two gold orbs for eyes, standing about 1.9 meters tall and seemingly always wearing a hooded article of clothing with pockets. We have only been able to discern this from the resting position of SCP-6054's arms and a slight overhang of SCP-6054's shadow over its head. However, SCP-6054 claims to have an appearance beneath this, though it has been unwilling to share and we have found no way of forcing it to do so.

SCP-6054 has displayed several abilities, though we are currently unsure of the full extent of its power. among those we have seen, the most prominent of its abilities is the ability to 'weave' life into existence from seemingly nothing. SCP-6054 will sit, cross-legged, on the floor, placing its two hands near one-another as if sheltering something from above. A few moments later, a creature will start to take form from threads that materialise from an unknown location. There is seemingly no limit to SCP-6054's creation ability, though the creatures formed this way quickly fall ill and die when outside of SCP-6054's line of sight. It also seems SCP-6054 plans its creations in advance through painting or describing it.

As stated previously, SCP-6054 seems to have some degree of control over the weather and natural disasters, though this is yet to be proven to a satisfactory degree and so far only appears to be coincidence or happenstance, though some researchers are apprehensive to test this further due to the human life potentially put at risk.

Prolonged discussion with SCP-6054 is strongly regulated, as several Class D personnel and one class C have been found deceased shortly after discussion prolonging ten minutes. It is unclear if this is a direct result of SCP-6054's discussion with personnel or if it is symptomatic of something else to do with SCP-6054, though it is certain that it is a result, be it direct or indirect, of SCP-6054. It should be noted that while suicide is the prevailing theory as to what happens to these individuals, there is no sign of an attempted suicide on any of them.

Furthermore, discussion lasting more than fifteen minutes seems to cause the afflicted person to attempt breaking SCP-6054 free from containment, inevitably failing, being detained by on-site security, and then perishing shortly after. Both of these effects have been dubbed "Cognitive Takeover" by the junior researchers.

It goes without saying that SCP-6054 is intelligent, likely more so than a human can hope to achieve. It is theorised that SCP-6054 does not control a person's mind, as might be assumed by the actions taken by those who speak with SCP-6054. Instead, it is believed that what SCP-6054 says is the cause of the actions taken by those afflicted with "Cognitive Takeover" by way of using its currently unknown intelligence to either make the afflicted believe SCP-6054 should gain freedom or, possibly, inducing a suicidal state in the individual which would be acted upon by the individual.

Addendum:
Senior Researchers have considered aggravating SCP-6054 in order to determine if it does hold control over the planet, though so far this has been rejected due to the possibility for a mass of human life to be lost outside of the foundation itself. Should permission ever be granted, the experiment would involve the removal of all entertainment from SCP-6054's containment unit and the introduction of a speaker system, which would play a high pitched noise constantly until results have been collected.
