Frosted cool ice, snowflakes that dance with the air as they make their way down towards the earth.
Dr. Kisaragi tugged at his collar as he rode down the lift. The dull sound of elevator music making his day seem like a walk in the park.
He had breakfast just before he came, but his stomach still felt empty, hallow as if he had dined on air itself. Maybe he did, but his body still needed to adjust itself to his new routine. A routine that could end in his death. Or not, depending on what the Foundation had assigned him to.
With a ding, the elevator doors opened. Stepping out, Dr. Kisaragi felt and heard it. A disturbance somewhere in the facility. He ignored it. It was part of the job, perhaps somewhere in the facility they were conducting experiments with D-Class. He shuddered at the thought of perhaps, one day he too would be willing to sacrifice lives for the greater good.
"Good morning, Doctor." A security officer said. "Just transferred here?"
"Yes, I was wondering if you knew the way to my new office?" Dr. Kisaragi said while showing his I.D.
"Of course, I'm the one supposed to give you a tour."
