SCP 1: the pool to the center of the earth

SCP-XXXX

Object class: Safe

D-3822 during her employment at site XXXX.

Special containment procedures:

Facility XXXX is to be patrolled at all times by task force Nu-8 ("Nimrod"). Any intruders attempting to breach SCP-XXXX's containment will be administered class B amnestics and released at the closest settlement. The site is to maintain its guise of an envinronmental remediation project. SCP-XXXX itself is to be covered by a circular waterproof pool cover of AT LEAST thirty meters in diameter. All the doors within the building SCP-XXXX is contained within are to be keycard protected, and the facility itself is to be surrounded by a barbed wire fence at least six feet tall. All members of task force Nu-8 are to wear plain clothes while in operation there.
All personnel stationed in the containment room are to wear class 2 PFDs, as well as any visiting researchers or scientists. D-class personnel are to follow this precaution as well, unless requested otherwise by an experiment's procedure.

Description:

SCP-XXXX is a defunct public swimming pool facility located in █████, Switzerland. The pool itself is cylindrical with a diameter of 25 (twenty-five) meters, and although constructed in under a year, has no visible termination. All tests have yielded no discernible bottom. All submersible probe tests have resulted in implosion before the bottom could be located, and radar seems not to function near it. All attempts to drain the water have failed, as the amount of water in the pool never seems to go down. The pool water is chlorine-treated, and the filters and pumps within the facility are still functional. It is advised to run them to prevent algae buildup from hindering experiments.
At one point, SCP-XXXX was allowed (under controlled conditions) to go without filtration for five days (120 hours). The surface had become completely covered with phytoplankton within three of those days, and upon the reactivation of the pumps the plankton drained away at a rate seen in most public pools.
The pool has shown similar properties to those seen in oceans- the deeper parts of the pool being darker and having higher pressure than conditions near the top. No wildlife has been detected within SCP-XXXX, aside from trace microbial organisms located near the more habitable shallows and the plankton that accumulates if the pumps are disabled.
The walls of SCP-XXXX are seemingly indestructible. Jackhammers and drills were not sufficient to break through the inner water-retaining barrier from the inside or outside of the wall. Explosive are not to be utilized for risk of facility damage.

Experiment log: 26/6/20█

Procedure: D-3822, wearing a SCUBA and flippers, was told to swim downward until told to return or upon encountering the bottom. D-3822 was equipped with a high-tolerance waterproof flashlight capable of 2000 lumens and vital monitoring sensors.
Result: D-3822 was recalled after vital signs showed a slowing of breath rates due to the high pressure. She recovered within the hour with no lasting effects.

Experiment log: 2/7/20█

Procedure: A small submersible probe within a watertight 30.5cm cube of 0.64cm thick steel, fitted with a GPS tracker, is dropped into SCP-XXXX.
Result: Probe transmitted its location a final time at approx. ██ meters below the surface before violently malfunctioning and becoming unresponsive Last recorded pressure was approx. 480,000 pascals.

Additional notes:

It is advised that onsite personnel not dispose of waste of any sort through SCP-XXXX.
"Who know where it could lead?"

SCP 2: The ghost in the silo

SCP-XXXX

Object class: Keter

Special containment procedures:

SCP-XXXX is to be monitored at all times by task force Iota-4. Any breach of containment should be considered an XB-class emergency. Any personnel or civilians attempting to enter SCP-XXXX are to be immediately terminated by personnel wielding automatic weapons. Any civilians found near the compound are to be detained, administered class B amnestics, and released 30 kilometers away in the city of Trenton. If an instance of SCP-XXXX-A manifests, the site should activate a set of incendiary bombs located one meter apart around the entire perimeter. If SCP-XXXX-A manages to escape the perimeter, the onsite incendiary warhead is to be detonated. If all preceding countermeasures fail, then all available task forces within the tri-state area are to be redirected to the site. SCP-XXXX-A is then to be terminated by means of napalm, incendiary sniper rounds and helicopter-deployed firebombs.

Description:

SCP-XXXX is the name given to a Nike Ajax nuclear missile silo located in ■■■■■, New Jersey after an unintended ignition of the missile's solid-fuel first stage. The resulting "static fire" killed ■■ personnel stationed there. The site- and the program- were subsequently abandoned by the government.

If any sentient life form is to enter the main silo of SCP-XXXX, a charred humanoid figure will begin to assimilate from the burnt surface of the launch pad. Now dubbed SCP-XXXX-A, the figure will immediately attack the nearest human. SCP-XXXX-A will then attempt to exit the facility, exhibiting extreme hostility to all humans. Only one instance of SCP-XXXX-A can manifest at the same time.

Although bulletproof, SCP-XXXX-A has proven especially vulnerable to incendiary weapons. If it is contacted by fire, SCP-XXXX-A will slow considerably, but resume original speeds of 1■3 m/s after approximately ten seconds. Continued exposure to fire causes SCP-XXXX-A to crumble into ashes. Analysis of the ashes detected traces of APCP, the primary ingredient of modern solid rocket fuel. Ashes disintegrate without a trace approximately three hours after termination of SCP-XXXX-A.

Revision XXXX-1

2/18/93
(All previous containment procedures preserved. Paragraph collapsed.)
Due to the risk posed by SCP-XXXX, no testing is permitted until further notice. "Containing an active instance of SCP-XXXX-A requires copious amounts of money, not to mention that the termination measures aren't always 100% effective."
