Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5054, also known as The Jade Statuette, is kept on a steel table in an otherwise empty containment room. The containment must keep cool temperatures (<13 Celsius, >26 Celsius) and medium humidity. Light is to be kept bright, but special bulbs which emulate dappled light from a forest are to be used at all times. It is to be monitored at all times, and is never to be touched with bare hands. Special leather gloves lined with steel fibers can be used if The Jade Statuette must be moved for any reason.
Description:
The Jade Statuette is, as the name suggests, a 10.16 cm tall statuette of a frog. It has a pale green body made of jade, with eyes made from onyx. The object seems to be in prime condition, with no scratches, cracks, chips, or dents. It weighs roughly 64 ounces, and has a smooth texture (texture data given by a D-Class shortly before [REDACTED]).
It was first found in the █████ Forest on █/█/██ by a group of children. When one of the children, █████ ███ did not come home that night, worry spread across the village of █████████, causing a search party to be sent out. SCP-5054 was found after a few hours of searching with a similar statuette of a young girl next to it. Multiple people came in contact with SCP-5054, causing a major anomalous event. The Foundation, after hearing of this event, sent out a task force to retrieve the object.
When SCP-5054 comes in contact with the flesh on a human's hand, that person will become disoriented and unable to put the object down. Humans who have come into contact with the statuette will become aggressive and violent towards any entity who tries to take the object away form them. Some victims, specifically teenage males, have been known to show their genitalia to females present, as well as try to assault them when they (the females) attempt to take the item away from them. After SCP-5054 has been in a person's possession for 30 minutes, the person will start to show extreme paranoia, discomfort, and begin to loose their balance.
After 1 hour of nonstop contact, the victim will begin to produce a black, blood-like fluid from their eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. All matter inside of the victim's digestive tract will be excreted with extreme force, causing the rectum to rip and blood to pour out of the site. The Black fluid will stick to the victim until the entirety of the body is covered. Once the body is completely covered, the victim will begin to shrink as their skin hardens and turns a light shade of green.
After 2 hours of contact with The Jade Statuette, the victim will become a jade statuette themselves, with onyx in place of their eyes. Although a bit smaller and more detailed than SCP-5054 (9.5 cm in height), they seem to have no anomalous properties, as well as no organic matter. All excrement produced during the transformation disappears, and all data of the person is seemingly erased from existence. Memories of the person remain intact, however.
