Rapid418 - Ricky's Candy Confections

Item #: SCP-4559

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4559 is to be guarded at all times by four (4) Foundation personnel. Any civilian contact with SCP-4559 should be avoided. If any civilian attempts to enter SCP-4559, they are to be told that the site has been temporarily shut down, and will reopen shortly. (For more information on handling civilian interference, see Document 4559-V). At approximately 3:23 AM, all personnel within the building should exit for about one minute before reentering. Any and all anomalous objects that are discovered from SCP-4559 should be brought to Dr. Reginald █████ for experimentation.

Description: SCP-4559 is a candy store in [REDACTED], Missouri, and was founded in 19██ by Eric McGlenn. Eric McGlenn ran the store until 201█ when he ate a pack of dour candy and unexpectedly died inside the candy store. It wasn't until a day later that a customer spotted McGlenn's body in the store, and reported it to local authorities. A post mortem analysis of the body showed that McGlenn had an electrical discharge of 50,000 volts run through his body, killing him instantly. Camera tapes of the store showed that McGlenn simply ate 3 pieces of candy while sitting at the register before beginning to convulse from the discharge a minute later, and fell face first onto the counter table. The anomalous death of McGlenn led to the Foundation investigating further into SCP-4559.

SCP-4559 acts like a typical candy store. Entering or leaving the store will not show any anomalous properties, neither will purchasing candy from the store. There have been only two recorded anomalous properties of SCP-4559:

1. At some time around 3:22 - 3:25 AM, the candy within the store will vanish, and reappear fully stocked. Candy restocked by SCP-4559 contains no anomalous properties. The register inside of SCP-4559 will accurately empty the amount of money needed in order to restock the number of candies that had left SCP-4559. If a new candy enters SCP-4559 that isn't being stocked already, it will begin to restock that candy after SCP-4559 restocks. The same thing goes for removing candy from the stock. All of that specific type of candy must be removed from SCP-4559 in order for SCP-4559 to cease from stocking the candy. SCP-4559 can only restock the candy when no human or humanoid can view the restock in their peripheral vision.

2. SCP-4559 will occasionally stock one of SCP-4559-1 among the shelves. SCP-4559-1 is a candy that, when consumed, will trigger a physical reaction in the user's body based on the label or the appearance of the candy they ate (See Addendum Log-4559.1 for more info). The form of SCP-4559-1 is dependant on where it is located among the shelves. For example, if SCP-4559-1 was located in a row of chocolate bars, it will take the form of that the chocolate bar, and its brand, rather than the appearance of a pack of gum, or cotton candy. SCP-4559-1 will also contain blatant typos or spelling errors on the label of the candy, which is the only visible difference separating SCP-4559-1 from normal, non-anomalous candy. If SCP-4559-1 has not been taken out of SCP-4559, that instance of SCP-4559-1 will disappear upon restock.
