Note: Following Incident-XXXX-A, containment procedures have been revised. Revisions are shown in blue.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be suspended on an altar, with the surface of the altar being coated in at least 2 mm of gold. SCP-XXXX is to be strapped down with a brace and no less than 4 metal chains connecting to the brace and to the altar. The altar should be placed in a 10x10x10 meter room reinforced with blast proof plating and 12 inches of reinforced concrete walls, surrounded by 4 inches of steel walls. The entrance to the containment chamber must be comprised of 2 blast doors that can be remotely closed from the site control room. At least two remote 50 caliber automatic turrets capable of firing “Reaper” rounds must be placed on the ceiling of the containment chamber and remain operational at all times. At least one hour before sundown and before an eclipse or a similar weather event, the containment chamber must be flooded with water, and should not be drained until at least 30 minutes after sunrise or 30 minutes after an eclipse has ended. Following Incident-XXXX-A, further testing is to be halted unless given permission from a member of the O5 council. In the event of a containment breach, recontaining the SCP must take priority. After SCP-XXXX is recontained, all instances of SCP-XXXX-1 outside of the containment chamber are to be terminated by Mobile Task Force Beta-7. If an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is produced within the containment chamber, it is to be terminated via the 50 caliber turrets located in the containment chamber. Following sunrise or the end of an eclipse/similar weather event, Beta-7 should proceed with cleanup procedures. All terminated instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be incinerated.
Description: SCP-XXXX resembles a red ruby, measuring ██x█ cm. It is highly resistant to all forms of damage. SCP-XXXX is stationary during the day and exhibits no anomalour behavior. However, its anomalous activity begins after sunset or during an eclipse, and ends after sunrise. During this period of time, SCP-XXXX will exhibit extremely hostile behavior and will attempt to locate the nearest human. Once it has found a human, it will proceed to [DATA EXPUNGED]. This process will produce an instance of SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX is capable of traveling through the air in a similar fashion to a projectile, and can reach speeds up to ███ km/h, and is capable of tearing through anything in its path. The only thing that can reduce the speed of SCP-XXXX is water.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 resemble the human that was transformed, but with red eyes. Instances are extremely hostile and will proceed to run at the nearest human in a vicinity of 200 meters. When instances reach within 5 meters of a human, they will proceed to violently detonate via [DATA EXPUNGED]. The resulting explosion is equivalent to 10 kilograms of TNT detonating. The explosion releases millions of spores which are capable of traveling through air and water. When spores are inhaled, more instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are produced. The only known way to terminate an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is by inflicting multiple cerebral wounds with gold tipped “Reaper” ammunition. Instances are resistant to all other forms of damage.
On ██/██/20██, at approximately 14:00, SCP-XXXX was being transferred between containment chambers to be tested. At 14:22, SCP-XXXX became active, causing a massive containment breach, leading to multiple keter and euclid class breaches. Around the same time, a solar eclipse was observed to have occurred. The eclipse lasted for over 3 hours. MTF Beta-7 was sent in to recontain. At 15:36 the onsite nuke detonated and communication was lost. This led to total site destruction and the loss of ████ personnel. Following this incident, containment procedures have been revised.
The following is a transcripted video log of the events of Incident-XXXX-A:
[14:19:28]: SCP-XXXX can be seen strapped onto cart. Guard A and B are shown pushing cart, along with two other armed escorts and Head researcher Dr. ██████.
[14:21:32]: SCP-XXXX can be seen vibrating and glowing on the cart. The guards stop pushing the cart. Researcher ██████ proceeds to abort the test and Guards begin pushing cart back to SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber.
[14:22:54]: While cart is being pushed, SCP-XXXX rips out of its brace and proceeds to [DATA EXPUNGED] Guard A. The remaining guards and Researcher ██████ are shown to be panicking. The new instance of SCP-XXXX-1 proceeds to turn around and lurch at Guard B. Armed Escorts A and B proceed to fire multiple rounds at SCP-XXXX-1, but the rounds seem to have little to no effect on the instance. The instance grabs onto Guard B and detonates, killing all five personnel and causes massive structural damage to the nearby structures. Primary cameras in the area are all destroyed in the explosion.
[14:25:44]: More guards are seen rushing to the scene of the explosion. Guards are unaware of the exact nature of what happened. SCP-XXXX comes into the frame of the camera and is shown [DATA EXPUNGED]. More instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are formed and are seen roaming the corridors of the site. The site is placed on lockdown.
[14:28:51]: Mobile Task Force Beta-7 is called to recontain SCP-XXXX.

Team Lead: B7-Cap
Team Members: B7-Cap, B7-1, B7-2, B7-3, and B7-4
[BEGIN LOG]
B7-Cap: Alright everyone. Turn your cameras on. Check your filters and your mics.
B7-1: Check.
B7-2: Check.
B7-4: Check, boss.
B7-3: Check.
B7-Cap: Good. MissionCommand, are we cleared to go in?
MissionCommand: Yes, you are cleared to go in.
B7-Cap: Copy that. Everyone in, weapons ready.
All five team members enter the site. Majority of the lights are out.
B7-Cap: MissionCommand, it seems that the site is running on backup power. Everyone turn on their flashlights.
Team turns on their flashlight. They proceed to go through the hallway. Eventually, they approach a blast door.
B7-Cap: Mission command, is there any way you could open this?
MissionCommand: We will try.
A few seconds later, the doors shudder open. Team members enter through the doorway and reach a T intersection.
B7-4: Boss, which way are we going?
B7-Cap: We'll split up. One, come with me. Two, Three, and Four, go right. If you guys find anything, call me and One.
B7-2: Copy that, boss.
B7-Cap and B7-1 go left, while B7-2, 3 and 4 go right. B7-Cap and B7-1 will hereby be referred to as Group 1, and B7-2, 3 and 4 will be referred to as Group 2.
MissionCommand: Group 2, we're detecting movement on your radar, about sixty meters away. Be advised.
B7-3: I don't see anything. Its dark as hell in here.
MissionCommand: It's moving towards you guys, fast. Fifty meters, forty meters, thirty me-
Gunshots are heard through Group 2's microphones.
MissionCommand: Group 2?
B7-3: Yep, we got it. It was another one of those things.
MissionCommand: Make sure it's dead.
Two more gunshots are heard through Group 2's microphones.
B7-2: Alright, let's keep moving.
Silence for 2 minutes.
B7-Cap: What’s the status?
AN: I will be finishing this soon.
