The price of knowledge

Item #: SCP-XXXX

**Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be give a contest source of new information on a schedule of every six to ten days. Foundation personal must bring SCP-XXXX to SCP 4001 within this timeframe to provide it with the required information. Allow SCP-XXXX to acquire new information for no more than 2 hours per visit to SCP-4001. When not on scheduled visits to SCP 4001, SCP-XXXX must be placed in a holding cell made entirely of marble stone that is at least 1000 cm thick to prevent any nearby SCPs to be effected by SCP-XXXX's tantrum state if ever triggered. At anytime a tantrum is triggered in SCP-XXXX, the facility must go under complete lockdown and SCP operatives must offer themselves to SCP -XXXX as means to try and get SCP-XXXX out of it's tantrum state as quickly as possible. The foundation must stay under lockdown for up to three hours to insure that no containment breaches from other SCP anomalies have been made.

Description:SCP-XXXX is an adultescent male between the age of 8-10 of Hispanic decent that was found floating in a small life boat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It appears to have a strong desire for acquiring an extreme amount of knowledge. It obtains this by a means on making direct skin contact with a person/object/etc. and within seconds, learns every detail of the subject's history, uses or anything the subject knows. SCP-XXXX must have a regular amount of new knowledge within every 10 days. If this window closes or failure to provide any new knowledge for SCP-XXXX will result in SCP-XXXX going into a tantrum like state. In this state, SCP-XXXX will send out a mental show to all living creatures within a 50km radius which will put such subject in a trance to come to SCP-XXXX aid by any means. The subjects that seem to be affected is humans, animals and even some SCPs (the SCPs that are affected only consist of other human/humanoids/animals/monster like anomalies, any SCPs that are nonliving/objects/godlike/plant life/ or strong psychic SCPs are not effected), each subjects shows worry for SCP-XXXX and will either try and offer itself for SCP-XXXX to hunger for knowledge or try and protect it from any outside threats until SCP-XXXX's tantrum passes over.

Interviewer: Junior Researcher Samuel Rotanrio

Date: 25/8/2526

**<Begin Log>

SCP-XXXX sits with Junior Researcher Samuel Rotanrio in it's cell, not acknowledging the man's presence in the room at first but soon takes interest when Rotanrio pulls out a handful of books out of his bag.

Rotanrio: Hello, my name is Samuel and I'd like to ask some questions for you if that's ok?

SCP-XXXX nod and looks towards Rotanrio's hands

Rotanrio: Alright, first off I've been told that have a very special way of learning things. I was hoping if you could give me a demonstration. Could yo-

SCP-XXXX takes hold of Rotanrio's left hand and makes direct eye contact for ten seconds before letting go.

SCP-XXXX: Your last name is Rotanrio, you're new to the foundation, and you currently live alone at 637 Hathaway Rd just a about 5 miles from our currently location. You have two siblings that you don't really talk to due to the death of both of your parents which you blame yourself for due to the work you do at the foundation. You've been having nightmares of the creatures here killing you in your sleep. Right now you're wondering if I'm a threat to the world and how helpful I would be to in the research that goes on around here. Would you like me to continue sir?

Three minutes go by without either personnel saying a word. Rotanrio gathers up his things and quickly leaves the room.

**<End Log

Closing Statement: Rotanrio spends the next half hour trying to calm himself down. Test show that SCP-XXXX had not effect him with it's ability's, however , the realization of how easy the SCP could retrieve personal information caused Rotanrio to need to collect himself mentally before interacting with SCP-XXXX any further

SCP-XXXX seems to be unable to remember it's name or any prior memories from its life before its initial discovery to the foundation and any attempts of SCP-XXXX using it's knowledge draining abilities on itself results in SCP-XXXX going unconscious and awakening in it's tantrum state. These test always result in some SCPs breaking containment when SCP-XXXX awoke into tantrum state.

Though SCP-XXXX cannot effect nonliving beings with it's tantrums, it's ability of acquiring knowledge can used on them as long as SCP-XXXX touches it. However in order for SCP-XXXX to be able to share the information it learns, the subject has to allow the information to be shared. In an experiment with SCP 055, SCP-XXXX was able to remember SCP 055 after their interaction but when asked what SCP 055 looked like SCP-XXXX stated that it could not share something that isn't meant to shared with others. Even when operatives threated to shoot SCP-XXXX if it did not comply, SCP-XXXX was physically unable to give the operative any information, trying so resulted in SCP-XXXX's tantrum state to trigger and caused a total of 18 SCP containment breaches. Any further testing of forcing information out of SCP-XXXX forbidden to all personal of any rank to insure not to trigger another tantrum and any operative seen trying to do such is to be contained and questioned.
