Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
Both (2) pages of SCP-XXXX are to be kept in a music folder on top of a standard, non-anomalous Yamaha GB1K 5' Baby Grand piano in the break room of Site 19. Access to SCP-XXXX shall be granted to all on-site personnel, as playing music has been shown to decrease stress and improve overall morale.

Both (2) pages of SCP-XXXX are to be kept in a locked, 30x30x10cm metal safe stored within a euclid-class containment vault. Casual performance and further testing of SCP-XXXX must be approved by a site director following Incident-XXXX

Description:
SCP-XXXX consists of two (2) standard 216 x 279 mm sheets of paper with Erik Satie's Gymnopédie No. 1 printed in black ink. Analysis of the ink's chemical composition reveals that the ink consists of a previously undiscovered element and traces of [REDACTED]. Correlation between undiscovered element and the anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX are unknown. All attempts to recreate the undiscovered element in a lab have failed.

The anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX take effect when any human attempts to perform Gymnopédie No. 1 on any piano or keyboard while looking at SCP-XXXX. Immediately after observing SCP-XXXX, the subject, now referred to as SCP-XXXX-1, will gain a perfect and complete understanding of how to perform Gymnopédie No. 1 perfectly, regardless of previous knowledge or musical experience.

After observing SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-1 will also be inclined to perform Gymnopédie No. 1. This inclination does not appear to be strong, as simply ordering SCP-XXXX-1 not to play the piece will stop the performance, although SCP-XXXX-1 will act disappointed for a short amount of time.

If allowed, SCP-XXXX-1 will then begin to perform Gymnopédie No. 1. Regardless of different instances of SCP-XXXX-1, the performance will be the same every time the piece is played. Audio analysis of recordings of different performances have revealed all performances to be acoustically identical.
