Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5678 is currently being contained in a 40m x 40m temporary containment site designated as Provision Site-4A [PS-4A]. 5678-A is to be monitored regularly via snipers, drone cameras, and radar. Security Detail Patrolling is to accordingly monitor 5678-A daily. A daily checkup on Provisional Research Camp-4B [PRC-4B] every month, if PRC-4B is under attack. Zeta-9 will be dispatched armed with KRYO-02 to assess and evacuate all personnel.
SCP ROUTINE
- Each Day a Group of 4 Security Detail Kill 5678-02 Accordingly to Avoid Spread Following Containment Breach.
- Each Week Manually 2 groups Consisting 1 of 3 Security Detail Armed with KRYO-02, and the Other Consisting of 4 Zeta-9 MTF Members for Emergency Reinforcements Incase of Failure. They are to Encase 5678-A Temporarily to Keep SCP-5678 in One Place Regularly.
- Each Month 1 Ground Mechanical Drone Designated as VLEPO-03, VLEPO-03 is Sent Out to See What SCP-5678 is Currently Doing as Well as Analysis For Researchers on Site.
Description: SCP-5678 is a huge orange-tinted spider-like insectoid with 4 black eyes, and a disproportionate lower jaw possibly because of the dominating 4 lower teeth which are approximately 5ft long and 4ft large. The reason why SCP-5678 is orange is because of a 1cm layer of orange liquid able to endure 3100° of heat. We have figured out that it’s vulnerable to chilled sodium-potassium, for this reason, KRYO-02 was created. We have discovered that SCP-5678 has heat vents of sorts at the sides of the entity to presumably keep warm, the biology of the creature has still amazed as to how the creature produces these substances. Measurements itself of SCP-5678 is 20ft x 35ft x 18ft. SCP-5678 has tentacles accompanied by a single huge sharp talon at the end which are the only things holding SCP-5678 up, they are approximately 12ft x 7ft. These appendages appear to be its limbs that make it mobile, giving SCP-5678 easy mobility among most environmental terrane. This is possibly how SCP-5678 formed 5678-A with ease. SCP-5678 has a defining underbelly with the middle of the belly covered in spikes identified as its bones, its underbelly can open and close with free will. When opening its stomach it can perform 2 actions, it can deposit entities known as 5678-02, they are smaller versions of SCP-5678 with spider-like legs. Two it can release tentacle appendages resembling significantly smaller versions of SCP-5678’s main tentacles. These smaller versions are capable of expanding 30ft long and 1ft large, they have suction cups at the ends capable of absorbing body fat which seems to be its nutrients. They are also capable of intercepting the Cerebrum of the human brain, they will release a needle of sorts able to communicate with the human's cerebrum. This process takes 40m to accomplish, SCP-5678 first exudes an orange-tinted sticky liquid of sorts possibly made out of rich-sugar on the human. This gets hardened over time creating what we call a chrysalis for the human, it then transforms the human forming an orange bug-like appearance. After 35m the orange liquid will melt away revealing the insectoid, after the 40m is completed the entity moves in accordance with SCP-5678 like a hive mind. We call this entity 5678-03. 5678-03 that are recovered are moved off-site to research site-17 for the study of the entity, this goes the same for 5678-02.
