She who is alone with the Sakura trees

SCP Number: 8152

Object Class: Euclid

Special containment procedures:
All Staff working with Scp-8152 must read Addendum one in its entirety before interacting with Scp-8152. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.

Foundation staff are to lock down the ‘Penny-Valley Estate’ under the guise of absentee ownership. No less than two grounds keepers are to be present in the Penny-Valley house at any given time. All grounds keepers must be educated and equipped to take care of Sakura trees, and have some vocational training in the maintenance and running of greenhouses.

Scp-8152 is contained in a small outbuilding connected to the main greenhouse. This building is to be furnished with reasonable necessities for healthy living. The greenhouse is seventy two meters long, twenty one meters wide, and eleven meters high. All panes are of bullet proof glass. Two rows of mature Scp-8152-1 instances must be checked and maintained daily.

While Scp-8152 is allowed to roam the estate grounds, if it wishes to leave the greenhouse complex, it must first be thoroughly screened and provided with new clothing.

Under no circumstances is Scp-8152 allowed to possess any item made of Sakura-Tree wood.

Description:
Scp-8152 is a shape-shifting anomaly. It has two forms. Firstly, an albino Hokkaido Fox with four tails, theoretically a ‘Kitsune’ from traditional Japanese mythology. Secondly, a twenty-five-year-old woman of Japanese descent, identifiable through naturally white body hair. When surprised, drunk, or willful, Scp-8152 can also be seen as possessing the ears, tail, or canine teeth of a fox.

All that is known about Scp-8152’s further anomalous properties is extrapolated from the text of Scp-8152-2 and Japanese mythology. It is suspected that Scp-8152 has access to a form of pyro-kinesis, by extensive mythological accounts. Further, Scp-8152 seems to possess the ability to change the size of its fox form, at least to one big enough to wrap once fully around an adult male human.

Scp-8152 relies on the presence of Prunus Serrulata, or Japanese Cherry blossom trees, to survive. These trees become Scp-8152-1 instances. The flowers of any such tree will be colored a natural white, identifying it as an instance. The only exception is the fourth tree of the second row, some of whiches petals have taken a permanent blood-red tinge. Scp-8152’s vitality is directly proportional to its distance from the wood of a Sakura tree, living or dead.

When contained, Scp-8152 had in its possession a small booklet, henceforth Scp-8152-2. Scp-8152-2 consists of twelve Sakura wood plates inscribed with traditional Japanese calligraphy, constituting a sort of diary. The inscriptions were apparently written by Scp-8152. They describe impactful memories of Scp-8152 and focus on conveying the emotion of a given moment. Carbon dating shows Scp-8152-2 is roughly 79 years old.

Addendum 2: Record of containment

Scp-8152 was contained by Foundation units in 1964.

Following the death of one Samuel Greer, lawyers found anomalies in the transfer of property. In his will, Greer had declared a secret marriage, and a new wife, to whom all of his property should be given. Suspecting fraud, private estate investigators were dispatched.

These investigators claimed to have seen a 'great white fox' on the estate grounds, leading to the deployment of a Foundation investigation team. Confirming the presence of an SCP entity, elements of the American national guard were taken under Foundation control, and the property was seized.

SCP-8152 was discovered to be somehow unable to flee the location and refused to defend itself. Containment procedures were finalized two weeks later.
