A view of SCP-XXXX-1

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard containment locker, located in Site-██'s Safe SCP wing. Only authorized personnel are allowed to interact with SCP-XXXX.

Due to ethical concerns, SCP-XXXX is only to be tested with if researchers believe they have discovered a way to roll back or reset SCP-XXXX-1

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 40.64 cm x 20.32 cm x 15.24 cm box with a display and small compartment built into it, and a microphone and joystick which can be plugged into it. The box is made of plastic, and it appears that SCP-XXXX was built with the purpose of being used as a toy for the entertainment of young children.

Copyright information on the bottom of SCP-XXXX indicate that it was manufactured in the year 2063 by Hasbro, Inc, and officially called the "MyUniverse". The technology utilized by SCP-XXXX is yet to be invented, but is similar to proofs of concepts produced by the U.S. Department of Defense's Parva Mundi Program. Practical uses for the technology by the Foundation are currently being investigated.

When turned on, SCP-XXXX lets the user interact with a universe which is contained within the device. Examination of the parts of SCP-XXXX have determined that the universe which is displayed is not rendered via a computer, but rather physically exists within SCP-XXXX. This universe has been labelled SCP-XXXX-1.

The user of SCP-XXXX can interact with SCP-XXXX-1 with near unlimited power. The user does this by speaking into the microphone of SCP-XXXX, and dictating to the device what they want to happen. Although SCP-XXXX seems to be a sort of game, there appears to be no goal. Currently there appears to be no means of creating new life within SCP-XXXX, and further research is needed to ascertain why.

In the compartment of SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-2 and -3 were discovered. SCP-XXXX-2 is an instruction manual for the operation of SCP-XXXX. The text of SCP-XXXX-2 is enclosed in Addendum 1. SCP-XXXX-3 is a self-writing history of SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-3 is written from the point of view of an inhabitant of SCP-XXXX-3, who is unaware of the user's presence, but does acknowledge acts of what it refers to as a "God". On every page of SCP-XXXX-3, there is a space where the player of SCP-XXXX can reflect on their actions as SCP-XXXX-1's deity. In these reflections, SCP-XXXX-3 simply asks "Do you think you were a good god?", and leaves space for an answer with an explanation. Examination of SCP-XXXX-3 has revealed that SCP-XXXX-1 once contained a form of life named "Happyians", and that the previous owner of SCP-XXXX was an eight (8) year old boy named Andrew. The text of SCP-XXXX-3 is enclosed in Addendum 2.

After using the controls of SCP-XXXX, it was discovered that SCP-XXXX-1 is void of all life, and has been made uninhabitable by the previous user of SCP-XXXX.
