Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held at Research Site-16 and aloud to move around the site. SCP-XXXX is free to interact with staff but during special circumstances - lockdowns, containment breaches or when otherwise seen as appropriate by a level 3 or higher staff member - he is to be kept in its kennel for its safety.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a male cockapoo owned Dr Roberts, Site Director of Research Site-16, named Raffy which Dr Roberts encourages people to call him despite his anomalous classification. SCP-XXXX is chocolate coloured with a white patch on his chest with golden eyes. Weighing 11kg, 43 cm tall, 93 cm long he is considered below average size for his bread.
Originally trained by the foundation as a theory dog for Dr Roberts to help him with his bipolar 2 disorder when he was brought into the foundation at 14 - at the special request of Technical Researcher David Rosen denied by ██████████████, overturned by █████████████████ - for his exceptional data analysis and computer science abilities. SCP-XXXX initially showed minor anomalous properties with his ability to improve the mood of a majority of people he came in contact with, including four recorded personnel who previously had traumatic experiences with dogs. This lead to research into him about any connections with SCP-999 but nothing verifiable was found.
Whenever someone looks into SCP-XXXX’s eyes increase levels of dopamine with as much as 250ng/ml more than the normal amount of 50ng/ml present in the brain when the reward system triggers. This leads to a desire to be around SCP-XXXX more but this should be achieved in personals free time. The increase in dopamine also explains the mood changing effect experienced by people who come into contact with SCP-XXXX comes as a result of the increased dopamine putting them in a hyper state. The reason for in increased dopamine release is still unknown.
SCP-XXXX’s tongue is also seen to display anomalies properties when licking the wound of a person who has self-harmed. The wound closes up 30-45 seconds after contact with SCP-XXXX’s tongue and the person has no memory of ever doing the action. SCP-XXXX will also be much more playful with people who have previously self-harmed or had suicidal thoughts. With most not thinking about either action again.
