The people inside the Walls are taught that they (█████) first appeared 107 years prior to the year 850 and had rapidly exterminated humanity to the point of near-extinction. known as the Subjects of [REDACTED], and have existed for nearly 2,000 years. Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly wiped out by gigantic creatures that appeared from out of nowhere. These creatures resembled the humans themselves and were known as [REDACTED] or [REDACTED]. No one knew what they were or where they came from, or how they even came to be. And while these gigantic creatures seem to hold very little intelligence, have the typical speed of a sloth and the regeneration abilities like your typical vampire, underestimating them will only lead you to be devoured. Although the organic materials that make up the Titans' bodies appear to be from nothing, they are said to be sent from invisible "paths" that transcend time and space. These "paths" connect all Subjects of [REDACTED] to a single "Coordinate," the Founding [REDACTED]. Over 1,███ discovered the "source of all organic material," or made a deal with the Devil, and gained the power of the Titans. The █████ Restorationists believed that she used the [REDACTED] to build bridges, roads, and cultivate barren lands. After she died 13 years later, her "soul" was split and passed down unto [REDACTED]. The Nine Titans After Ymir's death, the Nine Titans conquered the nation of Marley and established the empire of Eldia. The Nine Titans were split into █████ noble houses. The █████ family maintained order over the other eight houses, who were locked in constant conflict, using the Founding Titan. However, after 1,███ years, Karl █████ inherited the Founding Titan and chose to abandon the conflicts of the mainland. In his absence, the Great █████ War began. The chaos caused by the ██████ noble families allowed the Marleyans to rebel and take over the continent. The King and many ███████ fled to Paradis Island, where he used Colossus █████ to construct three Walls around his territory. In years after, ██████ would send undesirable citizens to ███████ Island as Pure █████, doomed to wander the island. Ranging from 3 - 15 m in height, these █████ comprise the vast majority of observed █████. They all resemble humans but with varying levels of deformity. Their only common feature is their mindless nature. They mindlessly attack nearby humans, making them easy to deceive. However, they are still dangerous due to their size, physical strength, and sheer numbers. They are often used as weapons of war, by █████ in the past and ████████ the present. Subjects of████ becoming ██████ after being injected with █████ spinal fluid, triggering a near-instantaneous transformation. This is exploited by ██████ after the Great █████ War, who turn undesirable Subjects of ████ into ██████ to use for war, or at Paradis Island to roam aimlessly beyond the Walls. ██████ oftentimes bear a strong resemblance to their original human bodies, though women who are turned into ██████ lose most feminine body features.
