Item #: SCP-6003

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6003 is to be kept in a 6x8 feet room, composed of a/an toilet, faucet, serving tray, bed, LG Television, air conditioner, and one ceiling light. 2 Level 3 guards are to guard 6003's containment chamber 5 hours per each shift, before changing security personnel. There will be CCTV footage that detects motion, and alerts individuals when an object moves at 12 newtons or higher by making a beeping sound and automatically turning on the camera footage.

Description: SCP-6003 - otherwise known as Catastrophe - appears to be a male humanoid figure weighing approximately 165 lbs and measures 5' 11" in length. He wears American Frontier clothing. The clothes itself date back to the mid-1800's. 6003 is able to predict all known catastrophic event that would happen between 1-364 days later from the prediction. But there is a downside to this: 6003 has stated that when he predicted something, it would become true, no matter what. He has made useful predictions, such as the case with the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370, and was once classified as Thaumiel, before he himself tried to breach containment using his predictions. That happened in 2001, right after the 9/11 incident.

It seemed that 6003 found out that we were just using him for the better good of humanity. He didn't seem to like that, I guess. - Dr. Richardson

There is an ongoing debate is to if SCP-6003 should be made Thaumiel or Euclid. See Event 6003-A.

Event 6003-A: Event 6003-A is the current ongoing debate that started in 2002, almost a year after SCP-6003 breached containment by predicting his escape. This debate is about whether SCP-6003 should be classified as Thaumiel or Euclid. The 05 has stated that they will temporarily classify 6003 as a Euclid-level SCP, until this fight is done and over with. This debate has gotten so large over the years, that in December ██, 2008, SCP-6003 predicted that US Airways Flight 1541 would make an emergency water landing in the Hudson River. It was later confirmed that Dr. Carter requested 6003 to make a random prediction, so bad that it would catch the attention of the entire SCP Foundation, but not bad enough to cause serious and lethal damage. Dr. Carter was about suspended for ███ days after the ordeal. It seemed that Dr. Carter knew that he was gonna get caught, because he self-terminated by ████████ himself of July █, 2009, and left a note saying the following:

I knew this was gonna happen. I always knew it. I was planning this the whole time. Tell the C.I. that there was a K.I.A. incident at Site-19, will you, dear reader?

Due to this factor, the Foundation assumed that Dr. Carter was a Chaos Spy, with intention of harming others in the most sneakiest way possible. The SCP Foundation staff was psychologically harmed, most were reported to have reduced morale and self-esteem. The debate is still going on to this day.
