Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Neutralized

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is housed in a standard Low-Risk Humanoid containment cell. The SCP is also outfitted with a remote chemical implant, loaded with a potent anesthetic. The cell of SCP-XXXX is outfitted with a thermal camera to detect it's disappearance. Upon a translocation event being confirmed, on site personnel will wait exactly 15 minutes and then activate the implant to sedate SCP-XXXX. The subject will then be collected and recontained.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an adult human male from the state of Washington, formerly known as Jack Carter.

At intervals ranging from 40 minutes to over six months, SCP-XXXX and anything on it's person will translocate to the center of a corn maze in Washington State. The corn maze in question varies, although it is usually near to Olympia, Washington.

SCP-XXXX will invariably be able to solve the maze within fifteen minutes, always immediately taking the shortest possible route to the exit. The subject will never use the entrance of the maze to leave. Forcing it to do so causes extreme emotional distress.

Interviewed: SCP-XXXX

Interviewer: Dr. James

Foreword: Interviewed immediately after initial containment.

<Begin Log.>

Dr. James: Good morning SCP-XXXX, I was hoping you could answer a few questions for me?

SCP-XXXX: Why, of course! Go right ahead.
Dr. James: Do you know when or how you acquired this ability?
SCP-XXXX: Well, it was a cold day. Autumn I think. I was sitting down to meditate as I do every day, and I heard God talk to me. I had always loved mazes, and God told me that I was chosen. That life was one great maze I was destined to solve. Then I found myself in a corn maze.
