Item #: SCP-5735

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX to be kept in a basic storage unit, to be accessed by personnel with Level-3 security clearance or higher only. Any tests to be performed on SCP-XXXX are to be authorized by two (2) Level-3 Researchers. The passwords protecting the audio file1 are to only be accessible to Level-4 researchers and above.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a server approximately 1.3 meters long by .7 meter wide by 1.5 meters tall. The data is accessible by a small computer attached to the server, the computer has the ability to play audio files. All data in the server is password detected, the password was later found out to be ██████████████████, allowing the foundation to access the data. Most files appear to be non anomalous files. Although non SCP-XXXX-1 files themselves are not anomalous, they strangely appear to be expunged or deleted documents from foundation records, how SCP-XXXX got access to these files are still unknown.

SCP-XXXX-1 is an anomalous file that is password protected, the passwords were found out to be, ████████████, ██████████, and █████████. After all of these passwords are entered, there is an audio file, the audio file consists of {DATA EXPUNGED} and appears to trigger an instant memetic hazard. Attempts to replicate the audio file in non-anomalous devices have proven unsuccessful, as while the audio file can be played it has no anomalous effects. The audio file instantly makes all muscles rapidly contract and expand for approximately five (5) minutes before they cease all function2. It appears that pain receptors, and most of the brain are unaffected, although the brain is unable to communicate with or control the body. These effects are permanent, and appear to send Class-D tests into a state similar to a permanent vegetative state.

Discovery log: SCP-XXXX was found on 23/2/1991 in a server room at Sacramento, CA, United States, when soviet spies attempted to access classified American documents. Upon hacking into the server and accessing the 5 second audio file, the spies began having spasms before having to be hospitalized. Upon hearing this report foundation Mobile Task Force Eta-11 found and contained SCP-XXXX

Test A - 11/5/1972

Subject: SCP-XXXX-1 and D-5678

Procedure: Subject D-5678 is told the passwords that are protecting SCP-XXXX-1, he enters them in and listens to the audio file.

Results: Subject D-5678 immediately after hearing the audio file begins having spasms all over his body, and the Class-D is immediately hospitalized, after a period of about five (5) minutes subject ceases all motion. Subject as of 31/7/2020 has not recovered.

Analysis: SCP-XXXX-1 appears to cause spams all over the body for a period of five (5) minutes before causing all functions to cease, though a heart monitor confirms that people exposed to SCP-XXXX-1 do not die.
