Version 1:
Safe
Two instances of SCP-XXXX should be contained in one of two cells at site-d and fed animal meat daily via slidey hatch. All other instances of SCP-XXXX found in the wild should be terminated via MTF Three Musketeers.
Version 2:
Euclid
The two remaining instances of SCP-XXXX should be contained in one of two cells at site-d and fed animal meat daily via slidey hatch. Any instances found to have evaded procedure-xyz should be terminated via MTF Three Musketeers.
Version 3:
Neutralised
Since instances of SCP-XXXX did not reproduce in captivity, and due to the inability to obtain additional instances after procedure-xyz, with no additional instances discovered in the past 20 years the classification status was updated to neutralised.
Description: SCP-XXXX has infohazardous properties and so physical descriptions have been greatly redacted at ur clearance level. SCP-XXXX instances are approximately [0][.][9]m tall and weight approximately [2][0]kgs, and have the appearance of [redacted: a small flightless bird]. They are carnivorous, and possess a high metabolism. The first instance was located on [redacted: mauritius island] but since then have been located [redacted: in two nearby towns].
SCP-XXXX instances are blind and deaf and seem to possess no tactile sense (no senses?), but possess powerful mind reading and mental powers, the full extent of which are unknown but can be used to track and paralyse/stupefy and target which learns of its appearance or location. As such, termination of SCP-XXXX instances in the wild proved impossible and as such procedure-xyz was implemented.
Procedure-xyz: [][]/[][]/16[][]
MTF Forget Me Not was deployed in a three prong approach with repeating muskets and a [3]kg black powder amnestic payload to apply a high dose of amnestics to the three known clusters of SCP-XXXX instances. By rendering them anti-memetic they could no longer be perceived and as such could not detect humans.

Euclid
At any time 2 instances of SCP-XXXX are to be kept in one of two standard containment cells (3m cubed box) at site-d0d0, all other instances are being actively tracked and hunted by MTF Fight or Flight. Individuals should not seek to learn of SCP-XXXX's appearance due to cognitohazardous effects, and should administer Class M Amnestics if exposed. After incident [1] the classification has been reverted to Euclid.
[1] After taking mnestics for a scp-earlobe trial a D-class was brutally mauled with several deep gouges believed to have been inflicted by SCP-XXXX's [redacted: beak and claws]. After sealing the room and scanning with mnestics the SCP-XXXX instance was discovered and the room was flushed with [toxin] gas.

SCP-XXXX is uncontained. Currently there are [][][][] known instances across all continents excluding antarctica. MTF Fight or Flight have been deployed in 173 locations globally to subdue or exterminate all instances of SCP-XXXX in the wild using a mixture of fumigation, traps and poison. Since reopening this case [][][][][] instances have been exterminated. Most foundation sites have been cleared of SCP-XXXX, however, approval should be gained before performing any SCP testing which requires the use of mnestics.
Description: SCP-XXXX has the appearance of a small flightless bird, originating from (island).
Note [][]/[][]/19[][]: The foundation has certainly come a long way, but I question how much of the archived version is due to technological insufficiencies, laziness, or some stroke of genius to delay this until we have a better way of taking care of them. I have approved testing for a infohazardous virus to eliminate them, should have this mess cleared up in no time. We should just be thankful the amnestic properties were passed down. Plus I can chalk up my weight gain to amnestic omelettes I've forgotten I've eaten.
Instance of SCP-XXXX in its dormant state.
Item #: SCP-5744
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Mobile Containment Force Xi-4 ("Baywatch") are to be stationed on Kapoposang Island in the Makassar Strait, and are to monitor a 20km radius area for instances of SCP-5744. All water traffic that attempts to enter the area should be intercepted and redirected using cover story G3. Every 2 weeks, at least 2 D-Class personnel should be sent into SCP-5744-1 to conduct Procedure-L91 (see Addendum-5744-3 for details).
Description: SCP-5744 is the designation given to an unknown species of polychaete worms of the Nereididae family located within the Makassar Strait, found in an approximately 15km radius area centred on SCP-5744-1. SCP-5744 instances initially appear in a dormant state where they are indistinguishable from non-anomalous worms, however, once a human comes within visual range of an SCP-5744 instance it will attempt to enter that person’s ear. They can become intangible at will and are capable of passing through all known forms of solid matter. Once inside, SCP-5744 instances will latch onto the victims Tympanic membrane, where it will begin to exhibit its behaviour altering properties (see Addendum-5744-1 for details).
SCP-5744-1 is a large artificial structure located on the ocean floor of the Makassar Strait, approximately 70km off the west coast of South Sulawesi (see Addendum-5744-2 for Exploration Log).
SCP-5744-2 is a twelve limbed aquatic entity resembling a member of the Cephalopoda class but is far larger, with greatly elongated tentacles. It is highly intelligent, and the full extent of its anomalous properties remain unknown. Procedure-L91 has so far proven to be sufficient in containing it within SCP-5744-1, however, research is underway to find a more sustainable long term solution.
Foreword: The following is an excerpt from Researcher Angstrom's daily log after passing through the infested area on an unrelated assignment investigating SCP-████. The original log has been edited for brevity.
"To summarise, the seismic activity in the Makassar Strait tsunamigenic region has proven to be non-anomalous in nature and aligns with current predictions. However, I still feel a powerful disturbance, deep beneath the sea. There is a tidal force which pulls me, beckons me to dive below and seek out the truth. I must make pilgrimage to this long forgotten place to pay homage to the creature that resides there, and if it finds my offerings acceptable, may I reside in its sanctum. Let us go then, and be nourished by their unknowable wisdom, and return refreshed and with new purpose."
Concluding Statement: The log continues in a similar manner for another 8470 words, including directions on where to locate SCP-5744-1, before concluding in the regular manner. After submission of the log, Researcher Angstrom was brought in for medical scans which revealed an SCP-5744 instance attached to their Tympanic membrane.
Foreword: Mobile Task Force Gamma-6 ("Deep Feeders") were dispatched in a speedboat with diving gear to locate and investigate SCP-5744-1. Summarised transcriptions of bodycam feeds and audio logs are contained below:
<BEGIN LOG>
G6-A: Arrived at location, dropping anchor.
MTF agents A to D suit up with diving gear, with agent E and F remaining on the boat. After descending 50m, a structure can be seen protruding from the seabed composed of limestone blocks with a dense coating of coral polyps, confirmed to be SCP-5744-1.
G6-C: Dash one sighted twelve hundred.
G6-A: Roger, approaching entrance, watch my six.
//The MTF agents move towards the structure. Unknown sigils are inscribed in the block above a 3m tall stone door. //
G6-D: Scans indicate one lifeform inside. No response to our presence.
G6-A: Roger. Initiate breach procedure Q-7.
MTF agents flank the door with two agents at each side, with breaching explosives placed on the door.
G6-A: Three, two, one.
The door explodes inwards and agents A and C move in. An unseen barrier prevents water from entering SCP-5744-1, leaving the agents standing in a room furnished like a hotel lobby. SCP-5744-2 can be seen next to a table holding hors d'oeuvres.
SCP-XXXX-2: Hello! Welcome to the Seabed and Breakfast! Could I interest you in some sea cucumber sandwiches?
Extraneous dialogue has been removed.
<END LOG>
Post Exploration: As SCP-5744-2 was found to be non-hostile, Procedure-L91 considered to be sufficient to appease SCP-5744-2's demand for customers, neutralising >98% of SCP-5744 instances.
Procedure-L91 consists of spending a 3 nights stay in the "Seabed and Breakfast" contained within SCP-5744-1. Reviews have been highly positive, and a request to prioritise well behaved D-class personnel to conduct Procedure-L91 is pending.
Hey there, I'm SCP-173-1. You've probably heard of my mom, she's kinda a big deal around here. Seems like I've got a lot to live up to on my first day at SCP High!
When I step into the hallway, it already feels like everyone's eyes are on me. I almost freeze up right there, and that’s when I feel a reassuring presence by my side.
"Hey there buddy, you look a lil stiff!"
SCP-999 chuckles and nudges my arm playfully. I instantly relax at the touch of my best friend from elementary school. He can be a little dorky at times, but he means well, and he always seems to know how to cheer me up.
"Big day, huh?" SCP-999 continues as we make our way down the hallway to our Euclidian (and Keterian) Geometry class. "I wonder if SCP-682-1 is gonna be there."
"Dude, shut up!" I whisper hurriedly, hoping no-one had overheard him. SCP-682-1 is my next door neighbour, and the prettiest girl I've ever met. She’s strong, she’s smart, and she fits in pretty much anywhere. Meanwhile, I freeze up whenever she so much as looks at me. And I don’t know if I could even talk to her dad, he’s the scariest SCP ever!
"C'mon dude,” says SCP-999, “this is a fresh start, a chance to leave behind your dweebish ways and become cool! Chicks dig a confident dude. Trust me, I know how to make the girls happy."
I cringe, giving him a friendly punch on the blob, "Aw SCP-999, you're such a slimeball.”
He laughs in response, but his laughter stops suddenly as an imposing figure phases through the wall and blocks our path. It's SCP-106-1, one of the seniors! I feel my heart sink like concrete (and rebar) as he approaches.
"Hey kids, did I hear you talking about girls?" He snickers, and shoves me up against the wall. His breath reeks of smoke as his voice rasps in my ear. "SCP-682-1 will never like you if you can't even grow out of diapers."
"Back off SCP-106-1, you know I have a condition!" I yell, but he just snickers again.
"Whatcha gonna do, little guy? I know you’re too scared to try anything, you’re only brave when you’re creeping about in the dark.” He rolls his eyes and steps back. "But hey, I'm not here to fight. I'm here with an opportunity." He reaches into his jacket pocket (dimension) and pulls out a small carton, then flips open the lid and holds it out to me.
"You really wanna be cool? Have a cigarette. Only one can't hurt, right?" He smirks at me, sliding the end of a cigarette out the carton. I stare at the box in front of me, an opportunity to finally become cool and get the girl of my dreams.
“No, SCP-173-1, don’t let him corrupt you!” yells SCP-999, “Cigarettes aren’t cool!”
“Shut it blobby, you know your dad thinks you’re a loser, right?”
SCP-999 shrivels up and flattens himself against the wall, an orange tear rolling down his cheek.
“So, what’s it gonna be SCP-173-1, are you cool yet?”
"If that's what it takes for SCP-682-1 to finally notice me…" I say, reaching forward.
"No!" A voice calls out from down the hallway. Everyone stops and turns. It's the beautiful SCP-682-1, looking amazing in her acid-washed jeans. She slithers down the corridor towards me, the light glistening off her shiny scales. SCP-106-1 steps back, stunned.
"I've always liked you SCP-173-1!” cries out SCP-682-1, “I've just never found the right moment to tell you…" Her voice trails off in a gurgling sigh.
"SCP-682-1 I… I never knew you felt that way about me.” I say, taken aback. She steps towards me until we’re almost touching, and I whisper, “Please, close your eyes."
She smiles and nods, scaly eyelids sliding shut over her bulging eyes. I raise my arms to her neck and gently take hold of her. And then… we kiss.
