Item Number: SCP-4614
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4614 is to be kept in a comfortably furbished animal containment room in Bio Site-66. A Non-violent D-Class is to be stationed within SCP-4614's containment room for the purpose of providing companionship as a lack of social interaction can lead to a degradation of SCP-4614's health and to act as a food source in the case of a SCP-4614-2 event. SCP-4614 is to be given a daily hour of physical activity in the fenced in area of Bio Site-66 in order to maintain its health and is to be supervised by one Level 2 Staff member and a guard to ensure SCP-4614 does not breach containment.
A guard is to be stationed outside of SCP-4614's containment room in order to monitor it and the D-Class personnel in the event of a SCP-4614-2 event.
Description: SCP-4614 is a adult age red smooth coat female Dachshund wearing a collar bearing the name Hazelnutt. SCP-4614 is approximately 10.5 Kgs in weight, 22cm in height, and 45cm long. With exception to SCP-4614-2 events, SCP-4614 appears to be a regular dachshund dog displaying no anomalous effects or abilities.
SCP-4614 came to the attention of the Foundation following a string of abnormal deaths in Nord, California where the only link was the recently adopted SCP-4614. See Addendum 1 for more information.
During SCP-4614-2 events SCP-4614 will to begin to emit vocalizations typically associated with a dog begging for food. If SCP-4614 does not accept and eat food given to it but continues with its "begging" all necessary personnel are to be informed that a SCP-4614-2 event is taking place.
After roughly two hours of initial vocalization SCP-4614 will begin to approach the nearest living human and paw at there feet. This seems to be SCP-4614's way of "marking" an individual as its next victim. The Victim will proceed to pet and show other signs of affection towards SCP-4614. Within 30 minutes the victim will sit crossed legged on the floor and place SCP-4614 on their lap whereas SCP-4614 will commence feeding on the victim by masticating into their chest and chest cavity with the goal of reaching the victims heart and consuming it.
Victims during the process so no sign of discomfort and if questioned on there current state the victim will report no discomfort or pain only a sense of jubilee. For more information see Addendum 2
SCP-4614 will not display any signs of aggression towards anyone else before, during, or after the event even if they attempt to somehow remove SCP-4614 from its victim, however attempts to do so have proven ineffective. See Addendum 3 for more information.
After the SCP-4614-2 event is completed SCP-4614 will not need to feed again from anywhere from 1-7 days.
SCP-4614 is to be feed as needed in order to prevent any attempts of containment breach by SCP-4614 in attempts to feed on staff and any other people in the nearby region.
Transcript of Agent Powers and Dr.Powers conversation on SCP-4614's initial containment
Begin Log
Dr.Powers: So how did you come to the conclusion that SCP-4614 was the guilty party in those families deaths?
Agent Powers: Honestly, at first we didn't suspect the dog. We had no reason too. The murders were like a month apart so we were weren't sent to investigate until the second family, the McKarens, had been killed.
So you know things proceeded as usual. Cause of death was determined to be that there hearts got freakin torn out and so on so forth. Couldn't find a connection between the families so we thought there wasn't one until Wilson said he recognized the dog from second crime scene.
Dr.Powers: Where did Wilson recognize SCP-4614 from?
Agent Powers: He told me that the dog looked like the first families pet as just a passing comment saying "Man wiener dogs must be popular out here first family had one too". So I did a little research and sure enough the Davids, the first family, had a Dachshund that got spent to the pound after the first investigation started and guess who adopted that very Dachshund the day it got in the pound?
Dr.Powers: The Mckarens?
Agent Powers: Exactly. So we go over to the pound as that is were it got sent again. We go in with a tory that the dog may have some evidence on it and that we need to take it in. The employee there takes us over to the back to show us the dog and guess what we find?
Dr.Powers: I'm guessing the dog?
Agent Powers: That and more. We turn the corner the corner and there is one of those volunteers that work at pounds just sitting there calmly petting SCP-4614 while it happily chews into her chest.
Dr. Powers: Bet you did not expect that when yo went to retrieve it.
Agent Powers: No shit. And the weirdest part was how calm the girl was just petting it while it ate her heart as if nothing was wrong with the world. After that we tranquilized it and brought it in.
Dr. Powers: Did the girl survive her encounter?
Agent Powers: Unfortunately no she died soon after dont think she even made it to the hospital.

Due to SCP-4614's lack of aggression during SCP-4614-2 events attempts at inhibiting SCP-4614's consumption of subjects were attempted in several tests
Test 1
Test: D-Class personnel is used to attempt to remove SCP-4613.
Result: D-Class states they can't remove SCP-4614 because "its sooo cute".
Test 2
Test: Foundation guards attempt to keep SCP-4614 away from marked D-Class personnel.
Result: Guards eventually allow SCP-4614 to proceed as they "didn't see the harm in it"
Test 3
Test: A remote controlled robotic arm is used to attempt to remove SCP-4614 from an active feeding.
Result: Despite SCP-4614's small size and physical strength, Foundation staff was unable to move SCP-4614 in any significant way.
