Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard humanoid containment cell that is layered with various low-temperature resistant metals. Items in the cell or per requested by the subject include:

  • One Futon (Granted)
  • A Pechka (Denied)
  • A metal table and four padded chairs (Granted)
  • A dog, or any sort of animal (Denied)
  • Hans Christian Andersen: The Complete Fairy Tales and Stories, translated to Russian (Granted)
  • Sunglasses (Granted)

A weekly check for any damage from ice to the containment cell, or to any items within should be conducted. The subject is allowed to wander around outside containment, granted by level 3 or higher personnel, and eat in the cafeteria if desired; but only on the condition, it wears a pair of thickly layered gloves and shoes. Direct contact over 10 minutes with the hands or feet of SCP-XXXX without any proper form of heating or thicker clothing is discouraged. SCP-XXXX is currently contained at site-1█.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a pale young woman of Slavic ethnicity in their mid-twenties, weighing in at approx. 50.8 kg (110 lbs), and standing at the height of 165 cm (5’5). The lips of the subject are blue, similar to a case of mild hypothermia, but has no other symptoms of such. The hands and feet of SCP-XXXX seem to be relatively cold, at least ranging from 0 Celsius (32 Fahrenheit) to -10 Celsius (14 Fahrenheit) for its feet, and -7 Celsius (19.4 Fahrenheit) to -14 Celsius (6.8 Fahrenheit) for its hands, but has been observed becoming warmer or even colder due to environmental factors.

SCP-XXXX seem to suffer from Albinism, although the eyes do not appear to share symptoms that are characteristic of it. Additionally, a form of color blindness called Tritanomaly has been reported after tests with colored paper. A small number of effects SCP-XXXX seems to have on direct contact (without proper protection) with its hands and feet, or from its presence, as well as combatants has been observed:

The core temperature of the subject itself is measured at about -164 Celsius (-264 Fahrenheit). When measured the skin temperature appears to be 20 Celsius (68 Fahrenheit). Major organs like the heart, lungs, and liver all function normally, while cells also operate their normal cycles. Strangely the body of SCP-XXXX is in a sort of 'living' cryogenic sleep, most likely due to its core body temperature. The entity seems to be non-hostile towards site personnel, behaving in a rather polite manner; but has harmed D-Class personnel who have acted aggressive or in a manner that of one about to attack (ordered to do so by researchers testing reactions from SCP-XXXX). A tracking device is to be on SCP-XXXX's being at all times and is required to be resistant to becoming brittle to the subject's anomalous effects.

Information of Obtainment: The Foundation was first alerted to the existence of SCP-XXXX after the evacuations of the ███████ Research Center in ██████, Russia, in 19██. Originally the subject was found by a research team sent by ███████ to the ████████ Ice Sheet. After the subject was brought back to █████, its ice encasement melted, and the entity began to wander around the center in a volatile manner, causing the center to be evacuated. A member of the foundation, posing as a worker reported the anomaly, which resulted in the foundation first becoming aware of SCP-XXXX.

Addendum-XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX was rather panicked and angry when first brought to the facility, leading to only D-Class personnel allowed in the entity's containment cell for a brief period of time. Afterward, SCP-XXXX was moved to site-1█ once its threat level was deemed low.

Addendum-XXXX-2: When questioned for a name, SCP-XXXX reported its name was Anfisa Ivanov. The clothing of the entity seems to date back to the 17th century, as well as communication was difficult at first, since SCP-XXXX communicated in Old Church Slavonic, but has since then been taught modern Russian and English.

Addendum-XXXX-3: A broken Taiga ax was found on SCP-XXXX's person at the time of containment and the item seems to hold sentimental value to SCP-XXXX. After observation, the item is deemed non-anomalous.

Addendum-XXXX-4: SCP-XXXX has trouble recalling certain aspects of its past. Currently, the subject is undergoing recovery memory therapy.

Interviewed: SCP-XXXX

Interviewer: Dr. ████, █████

Foreword: The following Audio log is an interview with SCP-XXXX, Dr. ████ and █████

<Begin Log>

Dr. ████: So, █████, you're the translator, can you ask the subject these questions?

Dr. ████ gives █████ a paper containing a list of questions to ask SCP-XXXX

SCP-XXXX: [Unintelegable Old Church Slavonic]

Dr. ████: What did it say just now?

█████: I-Oh, I'm not sure, it was unintelligible so I couldn't catch it.

Dr. ████: Let's hear it back after this log is done, anyways, would you please ask SCP-XXXX the first question? For the sake of the log, I'll announce the questions beforehand. First question: Where are you from, and what is your name?

█████: Oh, yes. Just give me some time between them so I can try to translate it.

█████ translates the first question to SCP-XXXX in Old Church Slavonic.

SCP-XXXX replies to █████ in a slow manner, shaking its head

█████: It said that 'My name is Ansfia Ivanov, and I am…….from……sorry I can't remember that' and stopped there.

Dr. ████: That's unfortunate, let's just hope we can get some of the questions answered. Ok, the second question: Do you know when you were born? Or any aspect of life at the time before coming here that could give when you were born or where you lived.

█████ nods, and stares at the paper, then slowly translates the second question

SCP-XXXX replies thoughtfully, scrunching its eyebrows.

█████: 'I'm unsure when I was born, but Tsar Alexis was our ruler at the time, does that help? I can't recall much of where I lived. What I can remember is it was cold, we had pigs to eat, and we ate Prostokvasha. I'm sorry, but that's all I can remember.' is what it said. [Sigh] Sorry, it might not be accurate, Old Church Slavonic is pretty much a dead language so there could be mistakes in translation.

Dr. ████: That's fine, besides, you're our best resource for this. Third Question: do you have any particular control over your abnormalities? If so how do you control it?

█████ tells the question to SCP-XXXX, who starts to converse with █████ for a short time.

█████: Says no control in particular [coughs].

Dr. ████: What else did it say? You were conversing with it for a brief time.

█████: Well, it wants to know where this place is, and if it can go home.

Dr. ████: [Sigh] well it can't go home clearly, that's probably the 17th century and that's a long time ago definitely.

SCP-XXX reaches, then grabs the recorder and starts to fidget with it

█████: Um…

Dr. ████: Hey don't touch that-

<End Log>

Closing Statement: After the sudden cut off of the log, it is reported that SCP-XXXX came into possession of the recorder during the interview, and the anomalous effects of the subject caused damage to the device, cutting the interview short.
