Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4206 is to be kept in a locked, metal box with no translucent faces. The box is not to be opened unless permission from level 4 personnel is granted.

Description: SCP-4206 is a card-stock box and deck of fifty-two (52) Bridge-Size, card-stock playing cards approximately 5.72 x 8.89 x .1 centimeters in dimension individually and 5.75 x 8.95 x 0.70 centimeters as a box. The box and cards inside look almost identical to 1864 █████████ brand playing cards, but with the Italian words 'Doppia Faccia'1 on the front instead of the brand name. The box was marked with two stamps, which have both been signed. SCP-4206 acts as a standard deck of playing cards in most regards except for when it comes to actually playing a game using them. When a game is initiated between two or more participants, SCP-4206's main effect comes into play. SCP-4206 causes the participants to become extremely emotionally attached to the game being played. Most participants continue playing unless forcibly stopped, at least until they win, in which the effect is released. It is possible to stop the effects of SCP-4206 by causing unconsciousness in the participants.

When playing a game with SCP-4206, each participant will claim to have lost the game, despite the actual results of the game. Due to the participants' unwillingness to stop until they have won, this results in a catch-22. This catch-22 may cause any less emotionally stable participants to become enraged at their losing streak, and eventually physically lash out.

SCP-4206's effects first effects were observed on ██ / ██ / ████ at █████ Casino, when a group of gamblers physically lashed out at a police officer after they continued to gamble past the establishment's closing time. After the gamblers were arrested, an SCP agent obtained SCP-4206 from the casino under government order.
