Item #: 5845
Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5845 is to be monitored by 15 patrol guards stationed 20 feet apart from each other, and to be on the outside of the chain-link barbed wire fence surrounding the perimeter of 5845. Any person(s) attempting to enter 5845 must be escorted off the premises with a warning. If the person(s) tries to enter again, they must be immediately terminated.
Description: SCP-5845 is a mansion built circa 1893 in the the town of [DATA EXPUNGED], Florida. 5845 appears to be in pristine condition, with no signs of paint chipping or rotting. Inside of 5845, the area is noticeably disproportionate to the outside area, with hallways that stretch for recorded distances of up to — kilometers. Once a subject is placed inside of 5845, time is observed to stop while in the house, resulting in a year passing by in the span of five minutes1. The door leading into 5845 cannot be opened from the inside, and any person looking out the window from inside 5845 sees nothing but darkness. 5845 was first brought to the foundations attention when multiple people went missing upon the discovery of 5845 by the Florida Historical Society in [DATA REDACTED], 1962. Two of the [DATA REDACTED] missing person(s) were found when further investigating 5845 (Interview 5845-2), showing minimal signs of aging. Any attempts to record the interior of the house has failed.
Test A - April 17th, 1977
Subject: D-4927
Procedure: D-4927 was instructed to walk into the house and explore for ten minutes. A timer was sent in with the subject, and the subject was instructed to bang on the door when the ten minutes was up.
Results: Two years later, banging was heard on the door of 5845, and D-4927 was found, looking exactly the same.
Analysis: From this the foundation was able to calculate the displacement of the time continuum, but not the space continuum.
Test B - June 15th, 1979
Subject: D-3294
Procedure: D-3294 was instructed to enter the premises of 5845 and walk around for 100 minutes, and then to bang on the door when the minutes were up. A recording device was sent with them, but it recorded footage of complete darkness and white noise.
Results: D-3294 banged on the door 20 years after being sent into the house. The footage was blackness and white noise. D-3294 arrived with another subject, who shall be called Subject 5845-2, who claimed to spend 180 hours in the house, as opposed to the 100 minutes D-3294. Another subject was found when the foundation went in to investigate2
