Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently contained at Site-17 and is to be contained within a standard humanoid cell in which no electronic mediums are allowed. SCP-XXXX is not allowed out of its chamber unless accompanied by two armed guards. Two armed guards are to patrol the area near SCP-XXXX's containment chamber. If SCP-XXXX demonstrates good behavior, staff are allowed to give confectioneries and/or entertainment to SCP-XXXX. Access to SCP-XXXX is restricted to level 3 Researchers or higher.
In order to prevent a massive loss of electronics from SCP-XXXX's secondary effect, the Euclid Objects Wing of Site-17 is to have as little electronic attachment to the rest of the site as possible. Cameras are to be placed in a way to where they have time to disable themselves in the event of a SCP-XXXX containment breach. Any known instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is to be destroyed immediately in order to prevent the spread of SCP-XXXX-1 instances.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a male humanoid of Caucasian/European descent. SCP-XXXX is currently 22 years old and was born in █████. SCP-XXXX appears to be a normal human with no physical anomalies or characteristics. Currently, SCP-XXXX weighs 88.4 kg with an estimated height of 1.8 meters.
SCP-XXXX's effects occur when a user attempts to detect SCP-XXXX through an electronic device such as a camera, once the user attempts to view SCP-XXXX through said device (the medium is henceforth referred to SCP-XXXX-1), SCP-XXXX either seems to be almost out of the lens of SCP-XXXX-1 or not in the picture at all. Audio recorders and other devices of the sort can also become instances of SCP-XXXX-1
In addition, any electronic medium exposed to SCP-XXXX will begin to degrade at an abnormal rate when in a 50 meter range of SCP-XXXX. The degradation seems to be random, with multiple different ways electronic mediums can degrade1. Any electronic medium exposed to an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 also becomes an instance of SCP-XXXX-1, being 'exposed' varies greatly, from detecting a SCP-XXXX-1 instance, to having a part of SCP-XXXX-12 replaced into a non-effected device.
SCP-XXXX was discovered on 03/12/████ when a series of 14 city wide blackouts and electronic shorts occurred over the course of 7 weeks at the town of █████. In the suspicion of another blackout caused by an instance of SCP-████, a team was dispatched to locate a possible anomaly. SCP-XXXX was discovered living near a power station with security cameras connected to the rest of the station. SCP-XXXX was swiftly detained after being found and seemed almost willing to go into Foundation custody. After being brought to Site-17, SCP-XXXX caused multiple security breaches and was hastily contained within a spare cell and all unnecessary electronic devices near it were shut off. Ongoing construction of a proper containment cell is underway.
