Threat Level: Grey1Special Containment Procedures: Physcial containment of SCP-XXXX is infeasible due to SCP-XXXX's location, which lies within lunar orbit. The Foundation has constructed provisional site 12-C for the expresss purpose of monitoring SCP-XXXX. A Berryman-Appollo optical reflecting telescope has been constructed for observational purposes. A three person skeleton crew has been established to record and observe messages transmitted from SCP-XXXX.

International space agencies have been informed of SCP-XXXX's existence, with the public population given a cover story of a meteoroid caught within the moon's atmosphere. Transmissions recieved from civilian space agencies are to be rerouted to Site 12-C.

Description: SCP-XXXX refers to an extradimensional entity, which is currently within lunar orbit.

Due to SCP-XXXX's remote location, proper identification of SCP-XXXX is difficult, and as such infomarion reported may not be factually correct. However, through the use of observation and manned space walks to SCP-XXXX, The following has been determined:

  • SCP-XXXX chiefly consists of a fine, stone material which surrounds a mechanical capsule. A five by five meter observational porthole is located within the middle of the object.
  • A twelve meter antenna extends outward from the mechanical construct, which continually broadcasts radio messages.
  • Within SCP-XXXX's interior are the mummified remains of two humanoid entities. Cause of death is undetermined, and it is unknown if both entities are in fact human.
