Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX was discovered at an archeological site near Perka, India. It is to be held in a high security vault within Site 36. There always must be at least two personnel in the vault when experiments are being run to ensure that proper safety procedures are practiced around the anomaly at all times.
The SCP is generally safe to handle unless ingested. However, do to its power to end sentient life, and considering what little is known about it, one should approach with caution. If Foundation personnel were to ingest some or all of SCP-XXXX, it is entirely possible that a Keter-level event could occur.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is (likely) a trans-dimensional object of unknown origin that appears to be in the shape of a small apple. It is light grey in color and does not immediately possess any threatening qualities. When bisected in the correct manner, a marking on the center of either half can be observed, closely resembling the Star of Lakshmi. Though SCP-XXXX has no currently known ties to अष्टलक्ष्मी, or the eight forms, such connections are currently being investigated by The Global Occult Coalition.
SCP-XXXX possesses biological qualities nearly identical to that of similar organic entities observed on Earth. That is to say, the seven seeds found within SCP-XXXX can be planted and cultivated by standard agricultural methods. It is then logical to assume that SCP-XXXX is the matured ovule of the resulting organism, though this is yet to be definitively proven, as the SCP serves a second purpose (this is noted in the next paragraph). The plant-like organism grown from the seeds, SCP-XXXX-A, bears no extraordinary macroscopic qualities, resembling that of a simple apple tree. At the cellular level, however, the entity can be observed sterilizing itself at an immense level. This process takes the place of photosynthesis, and is directly involved with the production of SCP-XXXX.
When ingested, SCP-XXXX causes its victim to expel a black, low density substance (SCP-XXXX-B) similar in appearance to a black snake firework out of their primary buccal cavity. The substance originates from the partially digested SCP-XXXX, and propels itself up the large intestine, pancreas, stomach, and esophagus via an intumescent reaction (it is worth noting that there have been two instances of it being expelled out of the anal cavity, but this seems to be quite rare). While the expulsion is taking place, the victim will move their head (or posterior) in an oblique motion, creating a circle of the substance about one meter in diameter. Though this suggests that the ingestion of SCP-XXXX results in parasitical neural control, this has never been directly observed. When the circle is completed, the victim falls into it and immediately slips through what appears to be a stabilized wormhole. The wormhole’s entrance closes as soon as the victim has entered completely.
It is hypothesized that SCP-XXXX is serving some sort of purpose originating beyond this dimension, though its instigator is unknown.
