Special Containment Procedures: SCP - XXXX is to be contained in a room which is constructed so all surfaces are made of bismuth panels. The container’s size should be of a size that will permit the entity space to move without coming into contact with the surfaces of the containment area, a 7 meter cube should be adequate. All staff and personnel exiting the containment area are to have their mental states monitored for a day. Any mental shifts are to be reported immediately. If SCP - XXXX-2 expires all staff and personnel who have made contact with SCP - XXXX recently, are to be contained.

Description: SCP - XXXX is a winged serpent whose body is a self enclosed loop with no head or tail. The entity has many sets of white avian wings along its body; between each set of wings is an eye with a diameter of 65 centimeters. SCP - XXXX is covered in pale gold fur which has a lustrous quality to it.

Subjects who are in the presence of SCP - XXXX for an amount of time exceeding 10 minutes shall be documented as SCP - XXXX-2. SCP - XXXX-2 will have feelings of joy and peace regardless of surroundings or preexisting conditions. These effects can cause SCP - XXXX-2 to not understand typically tragic events such as death or injury. SCP - XXXX-2's effects will persist indefinitely unless another subject becomes SCP - XXXX-3. SCP - XXXX-3 is identical to SCP - XXXX-2 with the entities being documented differently for purposes of distinguishing the two. When this occurs SCP - XXXX-2 will enter a severe depression which will result in the subject repeatedly attempting to take their own life and will expire from these attempts. After SCP - XXXX-2 expires, SCP - XXXX-3 will be known as SCP - XXXX-2. It is believed that the latter effect on SCP - XXXX-2 is caused by withdrawal from the effects of the entity.

SCP - XXXX does not require food or drink to sustain itself along with not requiring sleep or any periods of rest; rather it appears to require a proximity to bismuth and would, presumably, die or become inert without the metal in close proximity. When the entity comes into contact with bismuth, small third degree burns will appear on the entity. These burns do not appear to heal and several have been documented on the entity.

Recovery Log:

SCP - XXXX was first reported by an exploration team in a bismuth mine, owned by ███████ ██████ Co., on 11/8/19██ near the Mexico-Guatemala Border. Mobile Task Force Zeta-9 was utilized for the identification and recovery of the entity.

The origin of SCP - XXXX remains unknown.

Protocol	John Paters was exposed to SCP - XXXX and is to be documented as SCP - XXXX-2. SCP - XXXX-2 was then purposefully infected with SCP - 3020 by having the entity cross the blood brain barrier of SCP - XXXX-2. SCP - XXXX-2 was contained in a standard quarantine cell for those infected with SCP - 3020 and has access to a radio where he would be interviewed once every two days. Twice per day SCP - XXXX-2 will give a blood sample which will be examined by a team of Hematologists using robotic armateurs to study the samples. The room and all materials which have come into contact with the infected will be heated to 400 degrees celsius once the test concludes.
Results	The effects of SCP - XXXX on a subject which has been infected with SCP - 3020 will prolong the life of the subject along with mitigating some of the symptoms of SCP - 3020. It is now believed that SCP - XXXX does not increase SCP - XXXX-2’s production of dopamine as if this was the case SCP - 3020 would feed on the precursors to dopamine, rather SCP - XXXX makes dopamine manifest in the subjects mind without their brain producing the chemical. From the blood samples of SCP - XXXX-2 it can be seen that as SCP - 3020 reproduced the amount of dopamine produced by the brain decreased but dopamine levels still remained around the average of a D-Class and far higher then of persons infected otherwise. Perceived saddest in SCP - XXXX-2 is from a minor case of withdrawal from high dopamine levels. It was clear that the paranoia effects of SCP - 3020 had manifested. He was also recorded to be saying that he could no longer feel anything with his limbs when talking to himself.
