Special Containment Procedures: As SCP-XXXX is no longer operational following mechanical failure and as such is no longer anomalous, SCP-XXXX has been designated neutralized. SCP-XXXX has been taken apart with individual parts to be used be used as needed for research purposes.

Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-XXXX's comparatively benign anomalous characteristics, a standard storage locker is to be used for containment. A Foundation staff member is to remove produced SCP-XXXX-A instances on a weekly basis. SCP-XXXX-A instances are to analyzed for patterns in relation to current events. After analysis, each SCP-XXXX-A entity is to be labled by date and stored in a locked filing cabinet.

Description: SCP-XXXX was an antique stock ticker¹. SCP-XXXX's anomalous behaviors consisted of the continual production of poetry printed on ticker tape, which was designated as SCP-XXXX-A. SCP-XXXX-A instances had been manufactured on irregular intervals, with no set limit of SCP-XXXX-A instances produced in a single day. No external power source was purportedly needed, nor did the individual ticker-tape need to be replaced in order for SCP-XXXX to opperate. No telegraph has been found connected to or related to SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX-A instances resembled standard ticker-tape, with the stock listings on the front of the ticket. Individual poems had been written on the bottom. The poetry written on SCP-XXXX-A diffed dramatically in style, tone, and structure. Individual poems were generally composed in a free-verse modern style, rather then the traditional method of rhyming. Each SCP-XXXX-A poem was written in a pessimist or nihilist nature, with individual poems describing K-class scenerios and events. Further poetry made allusions to future events that had not occured yet when an SCP-XXXX-A poem had yet to be produced.

Gold and grey dust of my hand, passing down onto the bottom of the roof tops and into the chimney of the young children's house.

It is no concern to you, and it will never be, until you you're at the bottom of the hill, as it lays gently burning.

Gently Burning, says my hand, as my mouth pains and aches.

Where are the Children? Where had the little ones ran off to?

And one would answer, in stilted breaths, like in hospital, 'Had gone away, yet to return, taken from every mother.'

Hyperbole to suggest anything else but our own lack of will, and of course the famine of seed

And the extinction of the eggs. Cracked and broken. Broken and cracked.

The ones we call young today will be old men soon, and that is how they will die. Alone in the whole world; a world where you and all of her children quietly ends.

Alas, Babylon. Alas for a kingdom built for Earth's god, not an ancient from the star lines as far as man could see and pray. Alas, Bethlehem, Alas for the town built for the people of Earth's god, not for the fires below, as deep as man could feel and whisper. Alas, Jerusalem, Alas, place of man's beginning, taken from us by ourselves and yet imposters. Taken from us are our bodies and souls, to the god of the stars.

Alas, is this not a good thing indeed? If only we could somehow tell.

December 19th.

Barton LTD³. 19.1

The death of grass occured a day in Agugust, and with it the trees and flowers died. Fruits in our belly collapsed and remained rotten, like the skies after the birds had died, as there had been no grass. Without the birds in the sky, the locusts came and ate everything left. How foolish we were. Oh? Is there children left? No? Beasts of burden?

Such a shame.

January 1st.

Safron skies, black days forever, dark be forgotten. Our lives too, forgotten. We are one, one and all, forever, two and the same.

The sun is as beautiful as ever. For I am with you again, walking into the sunset, singing out songs, following the people all and all. Everyone now. Everyone now… Now and together.

The summer is never gone, lest the beast of darkness and cold show his maw, trembling at the sight of the burning sun.

Addendum No. 3:

On October 15th, 1998, SCP-XXXX stopped production of SCP-XXXX-A instances and as such was dismantled by the Foundation. The following note was found inside of SCP-XXXX:

Repent! Repent says the ticketmaster! Repent for what you foul blooded have done.

//Has it happened yet? Has the fires of hell swallowed the Earth? Explosions rocking the cities? Gods from another world and time?

1. An early predecessor of modern computer printing, a stock ticker is a machine that produces tape showcasing stock prices. Text was sent over by a special typewriter designed for operation using telegraph wires. The telegraph wires were connected to the back of the machine.
