Anna always thought filing papers was a boring task. But she knew what she was getting into. After all a government owned laboratory would have lots of paper work, especially since the point of it is to test on the dead. Now the dead was abundant after a large drought and that means more tests. Which leads to more paperwork.

The sound of wet banging kept hitting the roof. Anna always though of the sound of a bad luck. Much of her family died in the rain. Her father on the front was shot during a storm, her mother died in on the side of the dirt road, and her brother was taken away by the Secret Police while a seasonal down pour.

“BANG.” She looked toward the stairs. Dr. Brukhonenko always was dropping something. That old man was going to kill himself someday. She began to think about her job. If it was worth it. She though-

“BANG.” She heard glass hit the ground that time. She walked to the stairs, just to check on the doctor. But then, she heard something. Something of pure terror but, in quiet way. At the door, she could here much clearly.

“Crying?” she questioned as she entered. That didn’t sound like Dr. Brukhonenko’s voice.

“Doctor?” She murmured. She scanned the room and there was the source of the crying. The man was curled into a ball, his skin was almost the same as a ghost’s. His head small multiple tuffs of gold color hair. She walked slowly toward him. She reached out her hand to tap the man. Once she felt the cold, rubber like skin she pulled it back. The man turned his nearly bald head toward her. His eyes…they were just white. And then the man turned back. She saw at his large, skinny hands just grasp over his face.

She watched as it went silent. “Sir? Are you okay?”

Then the screams began. They were of hatred and anger that had been kept in for years, if not Decades. She backed up slowly and try to turn to the door. But then she felt something grab her shoulder. The Rubbery touch caused her to scream. She turned to see the man’s jaw. That was the last thing she saw as her head entered the 3 Foot mouth.
