Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a room measuring at least 5 m by 5 m and kept above 27° C with tropical foliage spread throughout. Two security personnel are with are to be posted outside SCP-XXXXs containment chamber at all times to prevent the escape of SCP-XXXX. Guards are to be rotated out every hour, any personnel experiencing feelings of unease and compulsions revolving around SCP-XXXXs cell are to report to senior staff immediately, and are to be placed in quarantine for 24 hours. In the case of a containment breach SCP-XXXXs sector is to be locked down for a minimum of 24 hours. Under no circumstances are any sentient SCPs to be transported within 100m of SCP-XXXXs cell.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a Forest Cobra (Naja melanoleuca) displaying several anomalous abilities. SCP-XXXX is capable of basic telepathy which is mostly used to identify victims, but is also used to occasionally communicate with certain researchers. Victims are individuals who have a history of injuring or killing what SCP-XXXX deems harmless wildlife. Only one victim is ever selected within a 12 hour period of the expiration of the previous victim, with the exception of SCP-XXXX being attacked in which case it has selected as many as 10 victims. Research has indicated that victims are selected based off SCP-XXXX’s own moral code yielding unpredictable results at times. Once SCP-XXXX has selected a victim it attempts to gain access to the victim by any means. After a period of 48 hours SCP-XXXX will give up one the pursuit of a victim. When SCP-XXXX apprehends a victim it bites them several times injecting up to 2000 mg of venom. Upon envenomation the subject will begin to experience excruciating pain and muscle contractions. Approximately 7 minutes after the onset of initial symptoms the anomalous effects of the venom begin to manifest, effects of venom are detailed in testing log.

Test XXXX-1-1

Subject: one class-D personnel scheduled for termination due to violent behavior

Procedure: Subjects hands were restrained and introduced into SCP-XXXXs cell, expressed unease upon the closing of the door. SCP-XXXX revealed itself 2 minutes after the introduction of subject, it approached subject slowly with its head raised, bit subject 3 times and retreated into plant cover.
Results: After 15 seconds subject began to complain of shooting pains and muscle cramps. Cramps and pain progressed to the point that the subject assumed a fetal position after 5 minutes. 90 seconds later anomalous effects of venom began to manifest with subject reporting being struck, blows continued for several minutes until the expiration of the subject.
Analysis:It appears as though the venom prevents the victim from going into shock as the subject received heavy bruising on over 80% of their body. All of the subjects ribs were broken, several punctured the skin. The cause of death appears to be the severing of the spinal chord at the base of the skull.

Subject: one D-class personnel

Procedure: Subject was introduced into SCP-XXXXs cell and was not made aware of its nature
Results: After 6 minutes subject became agitated and expressed unease, SCP-XXXX then revealed itself, subject made eye contact it for 2 hours. After which SCP-XXXX retreated into cover. When retrieved from SCP-XXXXs cell, subject claimed that it was talking with him. Subject claimed "It praised me for my defense of earth's creatures".
Analysis:A background check on the subject reveals he was a ecoterrorist prior to his arrest and acquisition by the foundation. Indicating a possible link between a subjects treatment of animals and SCP-XXXXs reaction to them

Results:Upon subjects introduction to the containment cell SCP-XXXX revealed itself and watched the subject 2 minutes into the experiment subject began to transcribe this conversation

SCP-XXXX: Mother nature… as you would say. Her will is forced upon me just as this place's will is imposed upon those you call D-class

Dr. █████: So you are forced to kill?

SCP-XXXX: Yes… I am angered by those I have killed, but I am not the one who seeks their death… the mother does. She gave me the gift of as you would say… higher thought and the ability to see the intentions of beings, but the decisions are not mine.

Addendum: When certain SCPs are brought within the proximity of SCP-XXXX it can enter an "enraged" state using its telepathy to control nearby humans to assist in its escape. SCP-XXXX nor any humans under its influence are to be approached as it has been shown to be hostile to all possible threats in this state including all personnel. This state will continue until one of 3 conditions are met.

• The offending SCP is destroyed or is found to be too difficult to destroy
• The SCP is moved at least 1 km away
• 24 hours pass

Due to the loss of SCP-████ and ██ personnel during the first 6 months after initial containment SCP-XXXXs class has been updated to Euclid
