Special Containment Procedures: SCP-████ is to be kept in a steel vault with a 15-digit combination lock that is held by Site ██ Administrative Staff. Any attempts to open the box are to be met with detainment and interrogations on motivations. The vault is currently contained in a Level-2 Access cell and is to be checked for daily.
During testing procedures, all non-testing personnel are to look away as to not observe the page. Refusing to look away may result in death of the personnel.
Description: SCP-████ is a black, hard-cover book with no title, and slightly ripped pages. When opened, camera viewing shows nothing aside from blank pages. Human subjects experience extreme focus when in sight of a page. Such instances of focus fall along the examples of: Impaired hearing, peripheral vision, along with an extreme urge to approach SCP-████. After finishing the roughly 150-page book, the reader begins to feel nauseous and after 60-100 seconds, falls over as if they are suddenly falling asleep. At this point, they are impossible to wake up and fall into a coma in 5-10 seconds of collapsing.
After the coma phase, which lasts approximately 5-10 hours, all organs cease function and they are declared deceased. There is no known way to halt the process, and all tests have ended in casualties to all that were observing the book's pages.
