Description: The Chevrolet Division of General Motors manufactured SCP-XXXX back in the spring of 1986. Though the vehicle is now an antique, this Corvette still maintains optimal performance. All body panels remain showroom quality; completely devoid of any dings, dents, or scratches. Even the interior retains the aromas of a recently assembled automobile.
With only a modest 29,987 miles,1 it stands to reason SCP-XXXX seldom traveled. However, the odometer actually registered a decline in mileage in recent years. Rather than increasing, each forward rotation of the wheels instead subtracts miles.
Whilst SCP-XXXX moves in three-dimensional space, the opposite reaction occurs across four-dimensional time. Both components turning in opposing directions like a pair of cosmic cogs. The resulting temporal phenomena restores SCP-XXXX to a previous chronologic state based on the distance traveled. Organism within the vehicle cabin experience similar rejuvenating effects. Due to the fleeting nature of life however, organic matter inevitably returns to temporal equilibrium: its proper, non-anomalous age.
Human test subjects, ever cognizant of their own mortality, report satisfactory results after driving SCP-XXXX for shot periods. Initial testing resulted in sudden weight loss, increased stamina, and reduced hair loss in the vast majority of subjects. At increased velocities, an influx of hormones course through the motorist's bloodstream, testosterone levels surge, and the prefrontal cortex de-matures: mimicking adolescence. Theoretically, SCP-XXXX enables human biology to elude aging, illness, and even timely death in perpetuity
In spite of the potential health benefits, these biomechanical alterations accelerate the deterioration of mental functions leading to severe psychological dependency. Since age-defying properties remain temporary, subjects seek extended drivetimes or higher rates of speed to sustain their youthful appearance. The resulting hormonal imbalances trigger impulsive aggression, enhanced sexual appetite, and increased recklessness. Though all demographics may be effected, middle-aged males, between the ages of 45 and 55, are most susceptible to SCP-XXXX. Most of which have prior history of marital crisis, profession inadequacies, and/or existential dread.
